NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: During former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago press conference, his niece, Mary Trump, took to social media with a series of biting posts that quickly gained viral traction.

The event, which took place at Trump's Florida estate, saw the former president address a wide array of topics, but it was Mary's sharp online commentary that captured significant public attention, as per Newsweek.

Trump's press conference, held on Thursday afternoon, August 8, was notable for several reasons.

In his address, Trump confirmed that he had agreed to three debates with Vice President Kamala Harris, slated for September. Trump revealed that the debates would take place on September 4 on Fox News, September 10 on ABC, and September 25 on NBC.

While he asserted that these dates were mostly finalized on his end, he noted that the Harris campaign still needed to agree to the terms. Notably, the Harris campaign had already accepted the September 10 debate, and ABC News later confirmed that both candidates were set to face off on that date.

The conference also delved into Trump's stances on various critical issues, including abortion, immigration, foreign policy, and the economy.

Trump, in his characteristic style, did not shy away from attacking his opponent, Harris, labeling her as "incompetent" and criticizing her handling of border policies and immigration under the Biden administration.

In a particularly controversial moment, Trump repeatedly referenced crowd sizes as a measure of his political support.

He even went so far as to compare the crowd at his January 6, 2021, rally on the Ellipse to the historic gathering for Martin Luther King Jr's 'I Have a Dream' speech, claiming that his rally drew a larger crowd.

Trump also made the widely disputed claim that "nobody was killed" during the Capitol riot, despite multiple deaths, including that of his supporter Ashli Babbitt.

As Trump spoke at Mar-a-Lago, Mary, who has been a vocal critic of her uncle for years, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share her unfiltered reactions.

Her posts quickly went viral, resonating with a large audience that found her candid assessments both humorous and biting.

Mary kicked off her social media commentary with a tweet that read, "Have you ever seen a train wreck?" The post, which appeared early in the conference, set the tone for what would become a string of pointed remarks aimed at her uncle.

About 20 minutes later, she followed up with another jab, posting, "This is someone's old racist uncle ranting on a street corner in front of a bunch of flags. I should know."

This particular post garnered significant attention, amassing over 410,000 views, 33,000 likes, and more than 5,600 reshares by Thursday afternoon.

Mary, a psychologist and author, is no stranger to controversy when it comes to her uncle.

Her 2020 book, 'Too Much and Never Enough,' offered a blistering critique of Trump and his family. In the book, she describes him as "utterly incapable of leading this country and it's dangerous to allow him to do so."
