CALIFORNIA, US: A night that was supposed to be all about connections and celebration has now turned into a full-blown mystery involving Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The couple attended a Netflix event for the series ‘Beef’, but what happened after the photos were released is what has people talking.

Within days, several images from the evening quietly disappeared - leaving behind more questions than answers.

Netflix event photos vanish after brief public release

The images, taken at a California gathering, initially showed Meghan in a relaxed and warm setting, chatting and sharing light moments with Ted Sarandos and his wife, Nicole Avant.

In several now-removed shots, Meghan appeared at ease - laughing, leaning in, and even embracing the couple.

But just as quickly as they appeared, most of those images were pulled. Only one group photo featuring Harry, Meghan, Sarandos and Avant remains publicly accessible.

What stood out was the pattern - every image that showed a more personal or physically close interaction was taken down. That detail alone fueled speculation that this wasn’t just a random clean-up.

Netflix confirms it requested removal of images

A Netflix spokesperson who stepped in confirmed that the request to remove the images came directly from the company.

“Those images were shot for Netflix and they have asked for them to be removed, so we can no longer license them,” the statement read.

That shifted the focus entirely.

Industry insiders pointed out that event photos like these are usually approved before being released, making their removal after publication highly unusual.

Some also noted that the delay in releasing the photos - around 24 hours - was itself not typical, suggesting extra caution from the start.

One insider described the move as “highly unusual, if not unheard of,” while also hinting that such a decision could be tied to image concerns from those involved.

Similar past incidents add to growing speculation

For those following Harry and Meghan closely, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened.

A similar situation unfolded last year when photos from Kris Jenner’s birthday party - hosted at Jeff Bezos’ Beverly Hills home were also removed shortly after being shared.

At the time, Kim Kardashian later explained that the timing played a role.

“It was totally cool to post,” she said, before adding that once they realized it coincided with Remembrance Day, the decision was made to take the images down.

That parallel has only deepened the speculation this time around, with many wondering if image control and timing continue to shape how the couple’s public moments are handled.

Netflix partnership questions resurface amid photo removal

Beyond the photos, the incident has also brought renewed focus on the Sussexes’ relationship with Netflix.

After stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Harry and Meghan signed a major deal with the platform, leading to projects like ‘Harry & Meghan’.

But recent developments suggest that things may have shifted.

Reports indicate their deal has been scaled back to a “first look” arrangement, and the streamer has stepped away from certain partnerships tied to Meghan’s ventures.

There have also been claims about projects not performing as expected, though both Netflix and Meghan’s representatives have denied suggestions that the company is “done” with them.
