Meghan Markle gets shoutout from Paula Abdul for using her song in 8th anniversary post
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle received a surprise shoutout from Paula Abdul after she used one of her hits while celebrating her eighth marriage anniversary with Prince Harry.
On Tuesday, May 19, the former senior royal member shared a number of pictures from her UK wedding on her social media page. She posted some of the photos on her Instagram Stories as well.

One such black-and-white image showed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sharing some moments in the cloisters of St George's Chapel in Windsor. With the special photo, the mother-of-two used Abdul’s 1989 song ‘Forever Your Girl’.
A day later, the 63-year-old singer expressed her joy over the usage of her song.
“So sweet to hear 'Forever Your Girl' over these beautiful memories. Wishing you both continued love, laughter and a very Happy Anniversary! XoP,” she wrote on her now-disappeared Instagram Story.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle cut a cake with same flavor as their 2018 wedding cake
Meanwhile, Meghan and Harry’s celebration was not just about sharing wedding photos.
The pair also cut a lemon and elderflower cake with their two children — Archie and Lilibet — which was the same flavor used for their 2018 wedding cake. Also, the former actress received a bronze sculpture of two penguins as a surprise from her husband, 41.
The gift also holds a special meaning for the two as Meghan revealed to their children, “When mama and papa got engaged, we had a party with all of our friends, and we said, ‘Everyone wear an animal onesie.’”
“We were penguins. Because we’re together for life,” she added in the Instagram post.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry get love from 'whole British Airways family'
Meghan and Harry also received a note from a British Airways flight crew for their anniversary. The 44-year-old was given the letter when she travelled back home from Geneva, Switzerland.
It read, “Dearest Harry and Meghan, Wishing you a wonderful wedding anniversary, With love, The whole British Airways family.”
Commenting on the sweet gesture, a source close to Meghan said, “Meghan’s flight crew was so lovely on her way back from Geneva. They all came to say happy anniversary and shared their memories of where they were on the day.”
“They wrote Harry and Meghan a card and gave them a bottle of champagne and British candies for Harry and the kids. It was very special and so appreciated by Meghan, who wanted to publicly thank them. She was truly so touched,” they added.
