WASHINGTON, DC: Journalist Megyn Kelly took aim at Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, sharply criticizing her for appearing at immigration raids and accusing her of cosplaying as an ICE agent during a fiery segment on her April 9 show.

While Kelly acknowledged Noem’s strong performance in her leadership role at DHS, she didn’t hold back in calling out what she saw as unnecessary photo ops and glamorized field appearances.

Kelly warned that Noem’s presence alongside federal agents could not only distract from serious operations but also diminish the credibility of law enforcement efforts.

Megyn Kelly tells Kristi Noem to 'stop trying to glamorize the mission'

On her daily SiriusXM show Wednesday, Megyn Kelly didn’t hold back as she urged Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to step away from the spotlight and stop appearing at ICE raids.

Opening her segment with a sharp critique, Kelly asked, “Can we talk about Kristi Noem and these ridiculous photo ops? Why does she have to keep doing this?”

Despite her disapproval, Kelly acknowledged Noem’s effectiveness as DHS secretary, claiming, "She’s doing a great job. Like, her actual performance as DHS secretary, in my view anyway, has been amazing."

However, she expressed strong frustration over what she described as Noem’s attempts to glamorize law enforcement.

“Just stop trying to glamorize the mission and put yourself in the middle of it as you cosplay ICE agent, which you’re not,” she said, adding, “I can’t stand these photo ops, you guys.”

Kelly argued that Noem’s presence during operations undermines the credibility of agencies, "I think they diminish ICE, they diminish DHS, CPB. She’s not an agent! She is an administrative policy person appointed by Trump because she was very loyal to him.”

She mocked Noem’s field presence, saying, “Fine. But stop with the glam, I mean, she looks like I look right now, but she’s out in the field with her gun, being like we’re gonna go kick some ass! No one wants you there. First of all, nobody ever wants the extra lady who doesn’t actually belong. They just don’t.”

Drawing from personal experience, Kelly emphasized that law enforcement officers don’t want administrative officials tagging along.

“They don’t want you there, even if you know, you’re an attractive lady who just wants – they don’t want you. There are lives on the line,” she concluded.
