NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Conservative commentator Megyn Kelly went ballistic on the fire chief of Los Angeles Kristin Crowley and accused her of focusing on DEI more than disaster management on the Wednesday, January 8 episode of 'The Megyn Kelly Show'.

According to the Daily Mail, the podcaster's outrage comes at a time when a series of wildfires have blazed through more than 11,800 acres in and around LA.

Strong winds have reportedly impeded the effort of firefighters to bring the blaze under control. More than 70,000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes. At least two have been reported dead in the fire that burned down over 1,000 structures.

Megyn Kelly's rant against LA fire chief

In her Sirius XM podcast, Megyn Kelly claimed that it was "predictable" that the LA fires would be fueled by Santa Ana winds blowing at speeds of up to 60 miles per hour, and decided to blame Fire Chief Kristin Crowley for the tragedy.

"In recent years LA's fire chief has made not filling the fire hydrants top priority, but diversity," she stated. "Diversity is at least among the top priorities for the Department."

Bringing up up a recent interview where Crowley shared her desire to raise the number of women and LGBTQ+ people serving in the fire department, the former Fox News anchor slammed, "Who gives a s**t if the fire chief is gay I'm sorry but who gives a flying fig about who she likes to sleep with; can you fight the f**king fires madam that's the relevant question."

"We don't care about your lady parts and we don't care who you want having access to them. Can you fight fires, can you make sure there's water in the fire hydrants?" she continued. "I don't care who turns you on and you know why they have only a hundred women in a in a squad of 3,300? Women tend to be small smaller and not as strong and unless you lower the requirements to become a firefighter most women can't pass the test trust me," she added.

"I don't give a s**t about how you're taking care of somebody inside the firehouse, take care of me and my home and my kids and my animals when the fires hit, that's your real job," she added, calling Crowley's wish an "absurdity."
