Megyn Kelly slams Trump’s gas price narrative amid Iran war: ‘Already gone up another 10 cents’

Rick Scott said high gas prices were 'worth it,' but Megyn Kelly rejected that claim, arguing intelligence showed Iran wasn’t close to a nuclear bomb

WASHINGTON, DC: Megyn Kelly, during the latest episode of her podcast, slammed President Donald Trump’s handling of the Iran war, calling the narrative "propaganda" as she highlighted that gas prices have already gone up another 10 cents.

Kelly argued that the 79-year-old president’s claim that costs would drop after the war is a lie, noting the national average has already hit a staggering $4.39 per gallon.

Addressing the rapid spike in fuel costs, Megyn Kelly corrected previous figures to show just how fast the crisis is escalating.

“I just want to correct myself. That was yesterday. Today, they’ve already gone off another 10 cents to $4 and almost 40 cents a barrel. It’s $4.39 that the average gallon is costing. So there is President Trump saying that,” she noted.

This frustration followed a clip of Rick Scott doubling down on the administration's claims during an interview with Kaitlan Collins.

Scott argued that high gas prices were "worth it" for freedom, but Kelly pointed out that this narrative directly contradicts the president’s own past boasts about military success.

Megyn began, “Okay, “I’m sorry, I just I’m taking this before I give it to you. That’s .... nonsense! The intelligence community assessed that Iran was not anywhere near getting a nuclear bomb. That comes from President Trump’s intelligence community right before we launched this war.”

She reminded her viewers that the White House had previously claimed the nuclear threat was neutralized.

“President Trump himself said that we had obliterated the nuclear sites in June, which we believed and reported and congratulated him on. So this is just bullsh*t!”

Kelly clarified that while she views Iran as a dangerous regional actor, the specific nuclear fear-mongering being used to justify the war is a lie that voters can see through.

“You can say Iran’s a bad actor. Iran has proxies who are doing bad things in the region. Iran has designs on hurting America. That’s all true. But what he just said is a lie. It’s all propaganda and it’s not gonna sell. People don’t believe it.”

Megyn Kelly warns Trump support drops amid rising gas prices

With two-thirds of the country now opposing the war, Kelly noted that the president's approval ratings have "dropped into the basement."

She warned that the financial strain is becoming the primary concern for Americans, especially as gas prices continue to climb daily.
