NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Melania Trump has not allowed her son Barron Trump to live in the NYU dorm at the Stern School of Business in Lower Manhattan as she feels it is "better to be around him."

Notably, Barron is currently living in his family's Golden Tower in the center of Manhattan, multiple sources revealed to OK! Magazine. President-elect Donald Trump's youngest son started his Freshman year in September 2024.

A source informed the outlet, "She will do everything she can to make sure Barron does well in school and is socially and mentally adjusted to his life as a college student. Living in a dorm in a college town isn't in the stars for him at this point."

The insider continued, "Barron already has his own political ideas. It all needs to be monitored in light of the situation."

The source also claimed, "Whether or not others think he is capable of being on his own, Melania feels it's better to be around him as much as possible. I see that continuing."

A different source mentioned, "Melania feels that living at home — versus living in NYU housing — is Barron's best option for the time being."

Another inside said, "Melania is focused on balancing her political duties with the needs of her son during this time. Every mother handles her children the way she feels best."

Melania Trump claims son Barron wanted to live in his dad's New York tower

During a rare sit-down interview with Fox News in September this year, Melania Trump claimed that it was Barron who wanted to live in Donald Trump's New York tower while attending classes.

She said, "It was his decision to come here that he wants to be in New York and study in New York and live in his home, and I respect that."

The upcoming first lady added, "I hope he will have a great experience because his life is very different than any other 18, 19-year-old child."

Notably, Barron has easily transitioned into college life at NYU. An insider familiar with Barron's school life said, "He’s at Stern, so he’s studying business in some way. He’s a ladies man for sure. He’s really popular with the ladies. He’s tall and handsome. A lot of people seem to think he’s pretty attractive — yes, even liberal people like him."

NYU students say Barron Trump’s campus presence is almost non-existent

Students at NYU revealed to TMZ that Barron Trump’s campus presence is almost non-existent. A student told the outlet, "He hardly exists" and described how he always sits in the back of classrooms, zips to his waiting SUV like a ninja, and has a squad of Secret Service agents nearby at all times.

Moreover, the 6 feet 9 inch tall teen has reportedly been swapping Gamertags with classmates so they can team up for some online action, per the outlet.

Notably, Barron's go-to game is FC25, formerly known as FIFA and his love for gaming isn’t new. During his high school days, classmates told Daily Mail that he would rave about Clash of Clans and his soccer obsession.
