NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former first lady Melania Trump revealed on Sunday, September 8, in the teaser for her upcoming memoir 'Melania', that the 2020 election results "changed our lives forever" and also talked about the attempts to "silence" her husband, former president Donald Trump.

She slammed the Biden administration and blamed them for the high cost of living in the US, as per The New York Post.

Melania Trump claims 2020 election results 'changed our lives forever'

Melania Trump, in the teaser video that was posted to her X account, narrated, "The 2020 election results changed our lives forever. It impacted our quality of life, cost of food, gasoline, safety, and even the geopolitical landscape."

She added that the country is "more divided today than ever before" and also expressed concerns about free speech in the US. She said, "It has become increasingly apparent that there are significant challenges to free speech as demonstrated by efforts to silence my husband."

She also said, "As a private person who has often been the subject of public scrutiny and misrepresentation, I feel a responsibility to clarify the facts."

Notably, Trump’s lawyers argued about "free speech" in a failed attempt to get election interference charges against him dropped in Georgia, while the GOP Presidential candidate has also decried gag orders in his other various legal cases, according to The Daily Beast.

The teaser video gave no new information on what 'Melania' the memoir will reveal about its author. Her website says the book contains "stories and images never before shared with the public", presumably those stories aren’t about the cost of food and gas, the media outlet added.

Melania Trump's book cover design's uncanny resemblance to 'Chanel Catwalk'

Melania Trump’s memoir 'Melania' cover appears similar to that of 'Chanel Catwalk' - a fashion tome that has been on sale for years, per The Independent.

The book's title appears in white on a plain black background on the cover. The design and font appear similar to the 2020 book by French author Patrick Mauries, The Daily Beast stated.

Melania was criticized for plagiarism in 2016 after parts of her address at the Republican National Convention bore striking similarities to Michelle Obama’s 2008 Democratic National Convention speech.

Melania wrote on X on August 25, "Our lives are shaped by our experiences, challenges, and achievements. For the first time, I share my journey with you, in my new memoir, Melania."

The memoir, which will be released on October 1, is described by her office as "a powerful and inspiring story of a woman who has carved her own path, overcome adversity and defined personal excellence."

Internet slams Melania Trump as she speaks about 2020 elections

Several internet users slammed Melania Trump as she revealed in her upcoming memoir's teaser how the 2020 election results "changed our lives forever" and also talked about the attempts to "silence" her husband.

A user wrote on X, "When is the last time you paid for food? Stop it" while one added, "Husband a liar, Wife a liar…"

A person also stated, "Melania has joined the grift. Whip out your wallets every one. She needs new shoes, and purse," whereas one mentioned, "As she looks down from her Golden throne she speaks to the peasants about the price of food."

A user also wrote, "Yes we are divided because your husband won’t go away! We need for him to retire and quit trying to be a dictator. He sounds crazy. You should Baker Act him!" while one commented, "That thing you are married to is the cause of all that."

A person also mentioned, "Efforts to silence him? You can't shut him up for a minute."
