Log Cabin Republicans' fundraising goals

The proceeds from the fundraiser will be directed towards the organization's initiatives to support the presidential ticket and the other Republicans in the upcoming election in November.

The July fundraiser was initially scheduled to be hosted by Donald Trump, according to Politico.

This effort underscores the group's ongoing commitment to bolstering conservative candidates across various races.

Melania Trump's previous engagements

The upcoming event follows another fundraiser Melania hosted for the Log Cabin Republicans at Mar-a-Lago in April.

Additionally, she made a rare public appearance with Trump in March when they cast ballots in the Florida primary.

During this public appearance, Melania was asked whether she would continue to support her husband on the campaign trail and she responded "Stay tuned."

In 2022, she appeared at Trump's presidential campaign launch. However, since the launch of his campaign, she has largely remained absent from his recent rallies.

Melania Trump's absence during Donald Trump's legal troubles

Melania was notably absent from Trump's criminal hush money trial in New York City.

In the trial, the former president was found guilty of all 34 counts of falsifying business records to conceal hush money payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during the 2016 campaign.

Following his conviction, Trump said during a Fox News interview that his wife is "fine, but I think it’s very hard for her."

Internet doubles down on Melania Trump's upcoming fundraiser

Reacting to Melania hosting the fundraiser for the Log Cabin Republicans in July, one user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, "How much will she be charging per person?"

"Log Cabin Republicans are the ultimate hypocrites!" a user commented while another user tweeted, "Sounds like a Risky Business reboot."

"What does she know about these folks again...is she working on her slush fund for when the orange guy is in jail," a netizen commented.

One user tweeted, "Must have renegotiated that pre-nup," while another user wrote, "Is this for her own golden parachute when she bails out of that marriage?"
