PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: A former aide to Melania Trump has stated that former President Donald Trump's upcoming criminal trial in the Stormy Daniels hush money case might be a strain on their marriage.

Stephanie Grisham told CNN on Wednesday, “I spent a ton of time with her when the news was breaking about Stormy Daniels. And she didn’t take it lightly at all.”

Daniels, an adult film actress, claimed to have been involved in an extramarital affair with Trump between 2006 and 2007 when Melania Trump was attending to their newborn child, according to HuffPost.

Grisham disclosed that the allegations of Trump's involvement with Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal also created tensions within the White House.

What did Stephanie Grisham reveal about Melania Trump’s outlook on Trump’s alleged affairs?

Grisham, who was Chief of Staff to the then-First Lady, Melania Trump, before becoming White House Press Secretary during then-President Donald Trump’s term, gave an insight into the behind-the-scenes of the couple’s marital life.

“We went to the State of the Union separately. She refused to walk out to Marine One with him because she didn’t want to be like Hillary Clinton and standing by her man. She’s a very independent and strong woman,” Grisham remarked.

She claimed she expected Melania Trump would "push" her husband to testify in public during the hush money trial, which is scheduled to begin next week.

“This is very, very embarrassing for her. It’s humiliating for her,” Grisham said. “And I can guarantee you that she’s not happy right now and that he’s quite worried about that.”

Since departing from the White House, the former First Lady has kept a low profile, making limited public appearances and occasionally using social media to promote NFTs and other merchandise.

However, her husband, the former President, has publicly stated that she plans to embark on his campaign trail in the near future, indicating that she would be actively engaging with the public.

Trump claimed during a February interview with Fox News, “She’s going to be out a lot.”

Despite this announcement, there have been no reports of her engaging in campaign activities as of yet.
