PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:  Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, a former aide to Melania Trump, has unleashed a scathing critique of the former first lady's presence at a recent MAGA fundraiser.

Wolkoff's remarks - laden with exaggerated imagery - suggest a rather tumultuous perception of Melania's experiences during her tenure in the White House.

Stephanie Wolkoff's scathing analysis of Melania Trump

The fundraiser, held in Palm Beach, boasted a decent turnout of major MAGA donors, culminating in a staggering $50 million raised for the cause. Despite the event's success, Wolkoff's commentary has drawn eyeballs due to its pointed nature.

Wolkoff, who worked for Melania from 2016 to 2018, didn't mince words in her assessment of the first lady's demeanor at the fundraiser.

"Looks like Melania Trump is about to dive headfirst into a pool of sharks & nobody's going to protect her. I was the only lifeguard on duty when she was First Lady," she posted on X, adding, "She chose to live a life in a minefield, where every step is treacherous & never sure when it might explode. She and he are one [and] the same."

Social media backlash for Stephanie Wolkoff

However, Wolkoff's comments were met with a barrage of criticism on social media, with some accusing her of opportunism and betrayal.

"You sure think a lot of yourself," one posted on X.

"Cashing in hanging on Melania's skirt by betraying her. Shame on you. I would never buy your book," another wrote.

"Jealousy is thy name!!" a comment read.

"....and you will never ever be Melania as the envy oozes from your every pore. lol," someone else chimed in.

"No shortage of backstabbing grifters for sure," another offered.

This latest criticism adds to Wolkoff's previous assertions regarding Melania's advocacy efforts, particularly for child welfare. Wolkoff's skepticism surfaced during a prior fundraiser where Melania was awarded for her purported contributions to child advocacy.

However, Wolkoff countered the accolades, suggesting Melania's missed opportunities during her time as the first lady. "There is so much Melania Trump COULD HAVE DONE for children when she was First Lady," she posted on X.

Speculation over Melania Trump's absence from Trump campaign

Speculation surrounding Melania's conspicuous absence from certain events continues to fuel conjecture. Reports hint at a reluctance stemming from past betrayals by her staff during her White House tenure, fostering an environment of caution and mistrust.

"When you look back, Melania was betrayed by her staff," a source told The Times, seemingly referring to her former aides Stephanie Grisham and Wolkoff, both of whom released bombshell books about their time with the first lady.

The insider added, "Nowadays, she is less in view except under very controlled circumstances. She has dinner at Mar-a-Lago but doesn't mingle and hobnob with people like he does. It's a safe zone for him. She doesn't view it as a safe zone."

Despite her apparent retreat from the political limelight, recent reports indicate Melania's tentative foray back into the political arena. An upcoming event with the Log Cabin Republicans, scheduled to be held at Mar-a-Lago, suggests a gradual comeback and re-engagement with political circles.

The Log Cabin Republicans, known for their advocacy of LGBT conservatism, have maintained a close relationship with Melania since her time as the first lady. The upcoming event is slated to launch the group's "Road to Victory" program that will target potential voters in swing states.
