WASHINGTON, DC: Melania Trump's former White House aide Stephanie Winston Wolkoff took to social media platform X to raise concerns as the former first lady celebrated the 18th anniversary of her US citizenship over the weekend.

Melania Trump posted on X, "Becoming an American citizen is an achievement that inspired my ongoing commitment to this great nation. Today marks the 18th anniversary of this personal milestone."

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff took jibes at Donald Trump as she wrote on X, "Melania’s 'Personal Milestone' is JUST that, only for MELANIA TRUMP! Melania became a US citizen on 7/28/2006 AFTER Barron was born on 3/20/2006."

She added, "BUT…for EVERYONE ELSE, Trump said he’d end the long-standing CONSTITUTIONAL Right & he’d sign an executive order that 'ENSURES children born to parents who do not have legal status in the US will NOT BE CONSIDERED US Citizens.'"

She also attached the screenshot of an NBC story dated July 28 with the headline "'Litigation is a certainty': Trump calls to end birthright citizenship would face a mountain of opposition."

Meanwhile, Melania added a statement from 2023 in her post, "I was born and raised in the picturesque country of Slovenia, where my parents taught me the importance of a strong work ethic and pursuing my dreams. The values they instilled in me at an early age inspired my fashion and modeling career, and brought me to beautiful cities like Paris and Milan."

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff labels Melania marriage to Trump 'transactional'

In May 2024 during the hush-money trial of former President Donald Trump, Wolkoff called Melania Trump's marriage to ex-POTUS "transactional" in nature, according to HuffPost.

During a conversation with CNN's Jake Taper, she said, "I think people have to remember who Melania really is. There is no enigma, there is no mysteriousness. Melania really is who she has portrayed herself to be. There is a strength within her that is unlike any other individual I have ever met."

She added, "She does not care what others feel about her nor does she feel she had to ever explain anything to the American people. It is a transactional marriage in so many ways that they both garnered so much out of their relationship."

She went on to say, "By marrying Donald, Melania really did finally get to be the Vogue cover model that she’s always wanted to be, that supermodel, and by marrying Melania, Donald was legitimized as trying to get away from that whole playboy mentality that everyone wanted to characterize him as."
