WASHINGTON, DC: After praising Vice President Kamala Harris for managing a tough interview with Fox News' Bret Baier, Michael Steele extended a playful invitation to Donald Trump.

Steele, host of MSNBC’s 'The Weekend,' promised a welcoming experience, complete with cookies and Donald Trump's favorite drink.

Kamala Harris defends Joe Biden's mental faculties, calls Donald Trump 'unstable'

During a recent discussion on Michael Steele's show, co-hosts reacted to Kamala Harris’ appearance on Fox News where she defended President Joe Biden while calling Donald Trump "unstable."

During the interview, Bret Baier asked Harris about her comments on Trump’s stability.

"You've called Donald Trump misguided, you say now he is unstable," Baier began, but Harris quickly interrupted, stating, "He's unstable. He is unstable."

Baier pressed on, asking, "He's not well, you say he's not mentally stable," to which Harris again responded, "He's not stable, and it is a matter of concern."

Baier shifted focus, questioning Harris about Joe Biden's mental fitness.

"Let me ask you this. You told interviewers that Joe Biden was on his game, and ran around circles on his staff. When did you first notice that President Biden's mental faculties appeared diminished?" he questioned.

Harris calmly countered, saying, "Joe Biden, I have watched from the Oval Office to the situation room, and he has the judgment and the experience to do exactly what he has done in making very important decisions on behalf of the American people."

Beir again tried to raise the "concerns" shown by people for Biden with Harris shutting him down by saying, "Joe Biden is not on the ballot but Donald Trump is."

Symone Sanders questions Donald Trump's absence from interviews

Symone Sanders, co-host of Michael Steele’s show, commented on Donald Trump's absence from interviews, suggesting that his avoidance of tough conversations was evident.

"Donald Trump is like none of this was working," she remarked how Harris handled the interview, before adding, "I'd just like to know why Donald Trump cannot make it to the interviews."

She pointed out that, in contrast, "Joe Biden went to Germany and back just yesterday."

Steele criticized Baier for posing irrelevant questions to Harris, noting that since Biden wasn’t running in the upcoming election, the line of inquiry seemed out of place.

"That to me was a 'got to do for Donald Trump's question," Steele said, adding, "She handled that moment."

Steele praised Harris’ performance, saying that the millions who watched "gave her a lot of street credit for sitting down in a hostile environment, politically, and handling it," Raw Story noted.

Michael Steele extends another invitation to Donald Trump

After acknowledging Kamala Harris’ strong showing on Fox News, Michael Steele turned to the camera to address Donald Trump directly.

“Donald Trump, I extend the invitation again: come to MSNBC, come to NBC News. Baby, we will make it real comfortable for you. We will give you your favorite drink, some cookies..." Steele teased.

Co-host Sanders Townsend chimed in, joking, "A towel," to which Steele playfully responded, "A towel, whatever. Right? But he is not showing up."

A recent report from Politico Playbook suggested that Trump had been avoiding interviews due to exhaustion.

It cited an adviser who mentioned Trump was “exhausted and refusing [some] interviews," though this could change at any time.
