PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA: Vice President Kamala Harris has agreed to an interview with Fox News, said the network on Monday, October 14.

The interview will be conducted by Fox News' chief political anchor, Bret Baier, and is scheduled to take place near Philadelphia on Wednesday, October 16.

Kamala Harris is expected to sit for 25 to 30 minutes on Fox News

Kamala Harris will sit through 25 to 30 minutes of questions on Fox News, the network said.

This is going to be Harris’ first formal interview with Fox News, 20 days short of the election showdown on November 5.

Harris will have a chance to deliver her message to a viewership that may be skeptical of her candidacy.

Her willingness to appear on Fox News may aid the perception that she is open to facing tough questions, the New York Times noted.

The interview will air during 'Special Report with Baier' at 6 pm ET. Baier will be anchoring 'Special Report' from Pennsylvania that evening, the network announced.

Kamala Harris: From avoiding interview to embarking on media blitz

After avoiding interviews upon becoming the Democratic nominee in late July, Kamala Harris has recently embarked on a media blitz.

Last week, she was featured in a special Monday night episode of '60 Minutes', on CBS News, which Donald Trump did not attend despite first showing willingness and then allegedly citing fact checks as the reason, according to CBS News.

On Tuesday, she made a trip to New York to appear on 'The View', Howard Stern's 'SiriusXM' show, and the 'Late Show' with Stephen Colbert.

Harris also appeared in an episode of the well-known but controversial podcast 'Call Her Daddy'.

This week, she is scheduled to speak with Charlamagne Tha God in Detroit on Tuesday, followed by an interview with Baier on Wednesday, according to Daily Mail.

Yet like Trump has been avoiding certain interviews, Harris too is accused of playing it safe by avoiding some traditional, mainstream outlets like Time Magazine.

"Despite multiple requests, TIME has not been granted an interview with Kamala Harris—unlike every other Presidential candidate," editor Marc Benioff posted on X on Sunday.

Internet's mixed reaction to Kamala Harris' upcoming Fox News interview

Netizens have responded to Kamla Harris' appearance for Fox News with diverse responses of praise and criticism.

Even as some suggested she had walked straight into the lion's den, others questioned the legitimacy of the interview. Others dared Trump to do left-wing interviews.

"Good for Harris to go directly to Fox (they don't deserve it) but I do love to see politicians go into the lion's den...," wrote one on X.

One in comparison mocked Trump saying he, "should give an interview to @MSNBC!!!!"

Someone else followed the same old line saying, "Another scripted interview," to which one replied, "Name someone or a few people who, if they interviewed her, you wouldn’t believe the interview was scripted."

One expressed skepticism over the answer and said, "I only believe it if she sits down with Alex Jones."

"And when is Trump sitting down with Rachel Maddow?" one more user dared Trump.

"So much for the myth that she only does interviews with 'softball' questions. Now what, MAGA?" asked one.
