ORLANDO, FLORIDA: Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger has been praised online after he mocked Florida Governor Ron DeSantis during a concert in Orlando on Monday, June 3.

While on the stage at the Camping World Stadium, the rock legend said, as reported by Florida Today, “We have some great local celebrities that have come tonight. Tiger Woods is here, for instance. Joey Fatone is here.”

He further shared, “And Ron DeSantis is up there in the suite. He’s having a date night with Mickey Mouse. I’m so glad they finally made up,” referring to the politician’s fight with the Walt Disney corporation after the latter took a stand in favor of the LGBTQ+ rights and criticized his ‘don’t say gay’ policy.

However, it’s not confirmed yet if DeSantis was actually attending the event.

Internet supports Mick Jagger and slams Ron DeSantis

Meanwhile, Jagger’s mockery received some attention online with a reader writing below a Raw Story article, “Mick could have said far worse but it's pretty clear that it doesn't take much to get under the the skins of those who HATE being mocked, even cerebrally... Mission accomplished, although more fun for me if he had gone all Battleship Missouri on him and his fellow orange-skinned resident.”

Another reader said, “A whole new respect for Mick Jagger.”

The third one noted, “Hey RS: Some headline… not close to being a ‘vicious putdown’! It was pretty benign; surely Mick could’ve done much worse!”

“LOL. Mick could have said a LOT worse about DeSantis. That was mild,” the fourth one stated.

An individual advised, “The best thing Jagger could have done is to avoid FL all together. The same goes for every celebrity that wants to stick it to this state. And tell the reason why. Coming here is making it seem like he's ok with what the death sentence has done to FL with all of the laws against POC, gays, education, and peacefully protesting.”

Another individual stated, “I never much cared for Jagger, but HELL YES! Rhonda Santis is determined to be the worst human being he can possibly be. If the American Republic is going to survive it will only be achieved by overcoming fools like DeSantis.”

The third one added, “We’ll said Mick Jagger. DeathSantis is an absolute Scumbag. F*@k Him.”

“I don't think Ron DeSantis was expecting to be dissed by Mick Jagger. LOL. This guy ain't no Kid Rock or Ted Nugent,” the fourth one noted.

“I love it!  Mick you awesome!” an X user tweeted.

Mick Jagger earlier trolled Trump

This came after in May, the 80-year-old English singer slammed Donald Trump while referring to Stormy Daniels, who was paid hundreds of thousands of dollars by the ex-president to keep her shut mouth regarding a sex scandal.

“I was a bit worried about the weather tonight. I thought we were going to get a Stormy Daniels but we’re all right,” Jagger reportedly said while performing at the MetLife Stadium.
