NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former RNC chair and current MSNBC host Michael Steele responded to a clip of Sen Lindsey Graham (R-SC) calling President Joe Biden a "felon," criticizing Graham for further demeaning himself in loyalty to Donald Trump.

Steele pointed out that Republicans are ramping up their attacks on Biden as Trump’s poll numbers decline, emphasizing Graham's notably harsh rhetoric in particular.

Michael Steele slams Lindsey Graham's claim about Biden's alleged criminality

Steele introduced the clip by saying, "Let's hear what he has to say about Joe Biden being the real felon."

In a fiery exchange with Fox personality Jesse Watters, Sen Graham remarked, "Next time you hear the word 'felon' in this election, I think the felon in this election is Joe Biden. What he's doing to the country is criminal."

"It is just mind-numbingly stupid what he just said," Steele commented as the clip concluded. "Because what you're saying ... I have a difference with his policies that's somehow criminal and therefore he's a felon," he continued.

He added, "Donald Trump was convicted by 12 of his peers in a New York courtroom 34 times. Help us narratively explain to folks why they should take the fog out of their eyes and understand the difference between these two when they are looking at assessing which of these two men, not is a felon, but should be president of the United States."

Biden condemns Trump's assault on justice system following 34 felony convictions

According to The Hill, Trump despises the legal system unless it serves his interests, using it to target political enemies, immigrants, and protesters.

His contempt, passed down from his father Fred and intensified by his association with disbarred lawyer Roy Cohn, has defined his professional life.

Now, convicted of 34 felonies in New York, Trump attacks the judge, lies about the evidence, and claims his prosecution is a Biden-directed political vendetta, portraying himself as a political prisoner.

President Biden has criticized Donald Trump over his conviction and his disregard for the verdict.

At a recent Connecticut fundraiser, Biden remarked, "For the first time in American history, a former president who is a convicted felon is now seeking the office of the presidency. But as disturbing as that is, more damaging is the all-out assault Donald Trump is making on the American system of justice."

Netizens slam Graham's 'mindnumbingly stupid' claim about Biden

Graham's words failed to resonate with many, as several viewers criticized him on social media.

A viewer expressed, "A furious Graham sneered, 'Next time you hear the word 'felon' in this election, I think the felon in this election is Joe Biden.'

Yup, sure, hick from the sticks, talk about the 'Eletion' and the 'Tats Cuts,' stupid backwoods performer from Deliverance."

In a similar fashion, another observer added, "Lindsay is looking pretty bad these days."

Furthermore, a viewer pointed out, "The 'lawmakers' representing South Carolina, Lindsay, Tim Scott, conintine to embarrass our state beyond belief." [sic]

Joining the discussion, a follower shared, "Patsy is a lying joke! #LadyG."

A remark underscored, "What a preposterous little puke of a man."

Similarly, another comment echoed, "Lindsey Graham is a compromised, extorted and scared servile puppet."

Delving deeper into the topic, an individual elaborated, "Mindnumbingly stupid. Just about defines the last decade of Lindsay Graham's public life."
