ATLANTA, GEORGIA: In a night meant for political sparring and policy debates, former President Donald Trump found himself the subject of online ridicule, not for his words, but for his hair, as per OK Magazine.

Social media platforms lit up with jokes and memes about Trump’s hairstyle during the 2024 presidential debate, with many users comparing his appearance to that of a poorly rendered video game character.

As the debate unfolded, screenshots of Trump began circulating widely on platforms like X (formerly Twitter). Critics were quick to mock his appearance, with some likening his hair to that of a "poorly rendered gmod model," a reference to the popular Garry's Mod video game known for its blocky and often humorous character designs.

This isn't the first time Trump’s hair has been a topic of discussion. Over the years, it has often been a focal point of both curiosity and ridicule.

A recent photo that went viral showed Trump’s hair being tousled by the wind, prompting speculation about whether he has had hair transplants or uses hair plugs. During the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix in May, his hair again drew attention for its unkempt appearance as he saluted the flag.

Despite the debate’s serious nature, Trump’s hair stole the spotlight, leading many to question the efforts of his grooming team.

Before the debate, Trump had hinted at a potential strategy to let President Joe Biden win. In an interview with Steve Gruber, Trump suggested that he might deliberately lose the debate to ensure Biden remains on the Democratic ticket.

"They’ve done polling, and I do better against almost everybody. And so they don’t want to take him off. Maybe I’m better off losing the debate. I’ll make sure he stays. I’ll lose the debate on purpose. Maybe I’ll do something like that," Trump explained.

During the debate, Trump spent much of his time reiterating familiar talking points on immigration, abortion, and foreign policy. He frequently deflected questions from the moderators on critical issues like climate change and his previous election denialism.

Despite his attempts to control the narrative, Biden struggled to capitalize on Trump’s weaknesses, often failing to provide clear and concise answers. Biden’s performance was hampered by a gravelly voice, which the White House later clarified was due to a cold.
