TEXAS, UNITED STATES: Recently, preacher Franklin Graham and former US President Donald Trump met at the Mexico border, and Graham shared a picture of their meeting on X. However, the meeting sparked a lot of criticism and mockery among users on social media.

During a visit to Eagle Pass, Texas, Trump gave a spirited speech where he coined a new nickname for California governor Gavin Newsom.

Trump heavily criticized Newsom, accusing him of encouraging illegal immigration by making services like education and healthcare free for undocumented migrants. Trump jokingly suggested changing Newsom's name to "Newscum."

Trump also didn't hold back on his criticism of President Joe Biden either, suggesting that Biden should also undergo a cognitive test to determine if he's fit to be the Democratic candidate in the 2024 presidential elections. Trump also claimed that he performed exceptionally well on the two cognitive tests he took.

Graham shared a photo on X (formerly Twitter), showing him and Trump praying together at the Mexico border. Fox News reported that Graham was in Eagle Pass, Texas, urging prayers for the border, Mexico, and its residents.

Speaking to Fox News on February 28, Graham conveyed, "I’m on the border of Mexico, and of course, this is the center of a lot of attention for our country. Millions of people have crossed this border into our country." He was speaking at Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, directly across from Mexico.

Meanwhile, according to CBS News, Trump visited the southern border on February 29, meeting with Texas officials, including Governor Greg Abbott, with the election season inching closer.

In his remarks, Trump criticized what he called "Biden migrant crime," alleging various crimes committed by migrants entering the US. He added, "They're being let into our country, and it's horrible."

CBS News noted that the border has become a political battleground amid a surge in migrant arrivals. Republicans have criticized the Biden administration's handling of the situation, with some even moving to impeach Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

The GOP has repeatedly called for executive action on immigration from the Biden administration, as reported by CBS News.
