WASHINGTON, DC: Jasmine Crockett recently revealed how she was supported after Marjorie Taylor Greene insulted her with a “fake eyelashes” comment on the House floor.

The 43-year-old disclosed to The Independent that during the House Oversight Committee meeting last month when she was attacked by the far-right politician, fellow Democratic Representative Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts was ready for a fight to defend her.

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez backed Jasmine Crockett

As reported earlier, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had also backed Crockett. She called out Greene and labeled her comment “disgusting” and “unacceptable since it was considered a personal attack and a breach in decorum.”

Crockett also reportedly took a stand for herself by indirectly attacking Greene as she asked Chairman James Comer, “If someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody’s bleach blonde, bad-built butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?”

Ayanna Pressley wanted to get violent with Marjorie Taylor Greene

However, the representative from Texas's 30th congressional district now shared, “When AOC jumped in so quickly, what people didn't see off camera was that Ayanna Pressley was ready to jump in and stood up and... it was gonna get into a fight.”

She also mentioned Jamie Raskin of Maryland, who “as well was in the middle of this and we were going back and forth with Comer.”

Expressing her gratitude towards her colleagues, Crockett added, “The bigger story that kind of emerged from this was what women of color face at work. When you're by yourself, people take liberties, but when they realize that you're not by yourself, it definitely puts them in a different light and puts them in a different stance.”

Internet users demand Jasmine Crockett and Marjorie Taylor Greene’s fight

Meanwhile, people have reacted to Crockett’s revelation as a user below a MEDIA ITE article wrote, “Texans know how to fight. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is from the hood and would absolutely wreck country girl Greene The reason conservatives like MTG love guns so much is because they are cowards who can't fight fair fights with fists. So they have to rig the game with a gun.”

“I would pay good money to see Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) dropkick Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) in a UFC fight. Someone, please set that up. The money can go to charity,” another reader stated.

The third one shared, “Marjorie Taylor Greene: A woman so dumb she spent two hours in Walmart trying to buy an upside-down flag.”

“Ms Pressley was certainly right to be angry, but she's no physical match for a draft horse,” the fourth reader mentioned.

The fifth one added, “Seemed to me like Crockett got the upper hand. ‘Bleached Blond Butch Bimbo -- whatever’. She nailed it.”
