Nancy Pelosi's daughter Alexandra blasts Bidens for animosity, tells Jill to put on 'big girl pants'

WASHINGTON, DC: Alexandra Pelosi, daughter of Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, slammed Joe and Jill Biden for their animosity toward her mother, as per Politico. 

The former speaker of the House of Representatives was reportedly among the top Democrats who had pushed outgoing President Biden to drop out of the 2024 race. Since then, the first lady is known to have nursed a grudge against her, and even expressed in an interview with The Washington Post, "We were friends for 50 years. It was disappointing.”

The relationship between Pelosi and the Bidens was further strained when Joe claimed in an exit interview that he could have defeated President-elect Donald Trump had he stayed the Democratic nominee.

Nancy Pelosi broke her hip during a trip to Europe in December 2024. Since then she has received well wishes from her colleagues across the political aisle, several heads of state, as well as Luxembourg’s Grand Duke Henri, who was hosting her when she suffered the accident, as per Politico.

However, the Bidens have not reached out to her through the course of her recovery, which reportedly left her daughter, Alexandra, fuming.

"If I was Lady McBiden, I’d put on my big girl pants, play the long game and think about my husband’s legacy. There aren’t that many people left in America who have something nice to say about Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi is one of them," Alexandra told Politico on Saturday, January 18. 

Internet slams Alexandra Pelosi for disrespecting Jill Biden

Joe Biden supporters were taken aback by Alexandra Pelosi's comments and criticizied her for the disrespect she showed towards the outgoing FLOTUS. 

A person stated, "Who the hell does Alexandra Pelosi think she is? I’m beyond disgusted," and someone else added, "Alexandra Pelosi sounds like a spoiled brat."

"This is beneath Alexandra Pelosi (to be) talking about the First Lady like this," another commented read. 

An individual stated, "Alexandra Pelosi should keep her unsolicited advice to herself. Everyone loves to play armchair strategist when it comes to someone else's life, but maybe she should worry less about Jill Biden and more about her own family's reputation that's been deteriorating,"

"Lil Alexandra's tantrum tells me that Jill's 'nursing' of the grudge has been effective," one more quipped. 

A frustated Democrat wrote, "All these people with the exception of VP Harris need to leave the stage. They all were a part of this kerfuffle and no one came out looking good. Stop talking about this and let's have the Dem Party find a vision and a way forward. Because it isn't this."
