New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch responds after his emails with Epstein surface
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch issued a public statement late Friday, January 30, addressing emails released by the Department of Justice (DOJ) that revealed his past correspondence with the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
The emails, released as part of a broader document dump tied to Epstein's network of wealthy and influential associates, show him connecting Tisch with several women in 2013 and discussing possible meetups.

DOJ-released emails detail exchanges from 2013
The newly unsealed emails show Epstein actively offering to introduce Tisch to women and arranging potential meetings.
In one exchange from May 2013, Epstein offered to arrange a meeting with a Russian woman, writing, “I can invite the (Russian) … to meet if you like.” Tisch replied moments later, “Is she fun?”
The following month, the emails became more explicit. Tisch, a prominent film producer, asked Epstein about a particular woman, to which Epstein responded that she was “(Tahitian) speaks mostly french exotic.” Tisch replied, “Working girl?” and Epstein answered, “Never.”
That language has raised concern following the public release of the records.
The messages also included explicit and graphic details about the proposed meetups, according to the DOJ files.
Epstein, who died in a New York jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges, has remained the focus of intense scrutiny as more government records continue to surface.
Tisch’s name joins a growing list of public figures whose past communications with Epstein are now being examined.
Steve Tisch says he never visited Epstein’s island
In a statement provided to The Athletic late Friday night, Tisch acknowledged the emails but stressed that his contact with Epstein was limited and that he never accepted any invitations tied to Epstein’s properties.
“We had a brief association where we exchanged emails about adult women, and in addition, we discussed movies, philanthropy, and investments,” Tisch said.
He added, “I did not take him up on any of his invitations and never went to his island. As we all know now, he was a terrible person and someone I deeply regret associating with.”
Tisch’s comments echo similar statements made by other public figures named in the Epstein files, many of whom have emphasized that contact did not extend beyond emails or brief meetings.
Still, the content of the messages themselves has sparked renewed debate about accountability and judgment among Epstein’s circle.
Giants co-owner’s long career faces renewed scrutiny
Tisch has been a co-owner of the New York Giants for over than two decades. His father, Bob, purchased a 50% stake in the franchise in 1991, and ownership of the team has remained within the family since then.
During his tenure, the Giants have won multiple Super Bowl titles, and Tisch has remained a prominent figure within the NFL.
Beyond football, Tisch is also a well-known film producer, with credits spanning decades in Hollywood. His public profile in both sports and entertainment has intensified attention surrounding the DOJ email release.
