MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA: After Alabama's inclusion in the College Football Playoff, Nick Saban's daughter, Kristen Saban Setas, took to Instagram to address the backlash and criticism surrounding the committee's decision. In an Instagram story posted on Monday, December 4, Kristen asserted her stance on the matter.

Kristen Saban Setas responds to critics

“This is the one time I’m gonna address this. And I really shouldn’t address it, but I feel like I should a little,” Kristen Saban Setas said. “Listen, I understand people are not excited about the committee’s decision. That’s not my expertise, that’s not my place. That’s nothing to do with me."

Kristen continued, “I try to keep my page as fun, positive as possible for people that like the things that I share, and that like Alabama, that like football, all of those things. If you don’t want to be here, you don’t have nice to say, or you’re upset about something, take it somewhere else. Because I just don’t have the energy for that stuff here."

“I’ve worked really hard to make this a really happy, fun, and safe place and this is just not gonna be where you can come to be negative and be mean and say awful things. It’s just … it’s not worth it, guys," she added, BroBible reported.

The controversy arose after the Crimson Tide faced Georgia in a nail-biting SEC championship game on Saturday, December 2. Despite Georgia's undefeated record and top ranking, Alabama secured a crucial 27-24 victory, earning them a spot as the No. 4 team in the College Football Playoff.

In other news, Kristen recently revealed her admiration for Loreal Sarkisian, the wife of Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian. Kristen expressed her admiration in an Instagram story, showcasing Loreal Sarkisian as her fashion inspiration and a dear friend.

“When y’all ask me where outfit inspo comes from, this is the main woman,” she wrote alongside a screenshot of Sarkisian on the sidelines of the Texas game over the weekend. “Queen of Texas Football and all things fashion, y’all. Truly a fabulous lady and an even better friend. Love you @lorealsarkisian.”
