WASHINGTON, DC: Nicole Shanahan, the running mate of Robert F Kennedy Jr, made a bold declaration just hours before he is reportedly set to suspend his campaign and endorse Donald Trump in the 2024 race.

Shanahan emphasized their commitment to the campaign, insisting that they would "never sell out."

Speculation of RFK Jr's endorsement of Donald Trump grows

Robert F Kennedy Jr, who has been running as an independent presidential candidate is scheduled to make a major announcement at 2 pm on Friday, August 23, when many expect him to confirm the widespread reports.

Shanahan further fueled speculation during an interview where she hinted that their campaign might support Trump as a strategic move to prevent Vice President Kamala Harris from advancing in the upcoming November election.

In an interview on comedian Adam Carolla's podcast, Shanahan addressed the speculations just hours before Kennedy's address.

“Look, I merely shared information yesterday on Tom Bilyeu podcast that I thought was important to share for context so people can understand what our campaign’s been up against,” she said.

“No announcement has been made. The announcement would come from Bobby, not from me. I view my role as his running mate and also as his — I’ve been self-funding us,” Shanahan noted.

The attorney and entrepreneur noted that they woulld “never sell out” the campaign.

“We would never sell out this campaign ever. It’s not what we would ever choose to do nor are we defeated in this moment, but I have to say something. We are up against something that is unprecedented,” said Shanahan.

Nicole Shanahan opens up on hesitation about Donald Trump alliance

Nicole Shanahan also revealed a key reservation about potentially aligning with Donald Trump.

"The hesitation we have right now in joining forces with Trump is that he has not apologized or publicly come out and said Operation Warp Speed was his fault," she said.

RFK Jr's running mate opened up on their concerns with Trump's actions as she stated, "The vaccinations, the lockdowns letting Fauci and Francis Collins run the show, the firing of the other folks at the NIH and individuals at the CDC that were censored."

"There was a lot that happened under Donald Trump's watch that should not have happened and cannot happen again," she continued.

"And if we are going to put our bet with him - and we haven't - we have not confirmed anything - but we need absolute assurance," Shanahan argued.

In a post on X on Friday, August 23, Shanahan noted, "I’m not a Kamala Democrat. I’m not a Trump Republican."

"I’m an INDEPENDENT American who is endorsing ideas, not a person or a party. I will continue working to give a voice to the voiceless and bring power back to the people," she added.
