WASHINGTON, DC: Nikki Haley continues to make headlines in the political arena despite her withdrawal from the presidential race in March.

Sources, who have only been identified as “two people familiar with the dynamic", claimed Haley is now "under active consideration by Donald Trump's campaign to be his running mate," reported Axios.

The alleged consideration of the former South Carolina governor as the former president's running mate is viewed as a strategic move to bolster the campaign's strength, particularly amid fears of losing voters to the Democrat side.

The Trump campaign has downplayed speculation surrounding Haley being considered for the Vice President role.

On the other hand, Joe Biden's campaign has capitalized on the former president's strained relationship with Haley as they have reworked their advertisements.

“If you voted for Nikki Haley, Donald Trump doesn't want your vote," read one of Biden's 2024 campaign advertisements, according to Axios.

Internet reacts to Donald Trump campaign considering Nikki Haley as running mate

Reacting to the Trump campaign's alleged consideration of Haley for a potential Vice President role, a user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, "I'm not sure I can think of a worse choice. He would lose support."



 

One user tweeted, "Horrible choice, just like Pence was horrible," while another user wrote, "Nothing would surprise me at this point."



 



 

"There should be no partnership with Globalists like Nikki. They would gladly move Trump out of the picture to put her in charge," a netizen commented while another user wrote, "I don't think this bad decision is anywhere near reality."
