Nikki Haley mocked as she says 'we can't keep going back to baggage of the past' while addressing Donald Trump during interview

WASHINGTON, DC: During an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network, when asked how she would appeal to MAGA voters, Nikki Haley proceeded to dig at Donald Trump, as per Medias Touch.

However, before launching her attack, Haley claimed that Trump was "the right president at the right time," that she agreed with many of his ideas, and that they had a "good working relationship."

In response to how she plans to woo MAGA voters, Haley said, "Rightly or wrongly, chaos follows him. We all know that. Chaos follows him …But we can’t be a country in disarray and have a world on fire and make it through four years of chaos. We can’t."

The former South Carolina Governor then took care to emphasize that she wasn't genuinely adopting a stance in favor of the ex-POTUS or holding him accountable for the decisions.

Haley asserted, "I said rightly or wrongly. So it could be. All I know is we need stability and we need strength and we need to start answering the issues of tomorrow and not looking back to the past. And we can’t keep going back to that negativity and baggage of the past." 

Internet mocks Nikki Haley over her remarks about Donald Trump

Soon after the comments Haley made about Trump during the interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network came to light, netizens didn't shy away from mocking her.

One wrote, "She still carrying those bags!! She's still going with tRump ways!" while another noted, "…by baggage, don’t you mean criminality, Haley? Own it, girl.. you’re almost there.."

A person added, "Haley: ”We can’t keep going back to that negativity and baggage of the past...Unless he picks me for Veep then it's A-OK!""
