LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The mysterious disappearance of Noelle Lynch, a 23-year-old college student, for over a week has left her family in distress.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Noelle left an apartment "without personal property and may or may not be able to identify herself." Her family also shared that her phone was found at the Los Angeles International Airport, as per People.

Who is Noelle Lynch?

Noelle is a Sacramento State University student who "was last seen leaving an apartment building on foot in the 900 block of East Redondo Boulevard in the City of Inglewood" on Wednesday, April 3 at around 5 pm.

In a release issued on April 8, the LAPD stated that Noelle was reported missing five days after she was last seen leaving an apartment "by foot."

The missing student's father, Mark Lynch noted that his daughter drove to Southern California on April 1 after she left their home in a "difficult state of mind."

Mark shared that he did not know "where she was going," and added that she was in a car accident on April 2 in Los Angeles.

Speaking to ABC affiliate KXTV, Noelle's mother Kellie Lynch said that her daughter "wasn't hurt in the crash, but her car was totaled."

Kellie received a call from Noelle the following day at 12 pm via a "strange person’s phone," and Mark noted that his daughter was “mostly not making sense."

Parents of Noelle Lynch say it is 'very out of character' for her to go missing

According to Mark, Noelle was then seen walking on foot without "personal property," and it remains unclear why the student was at the apartment where her things, including a backpack, were found.

Noelle's phone was found at one of the Los Angeles International Airport's Southwest ticket counter. However, Mark said there is no evidence that she boarded a plane.

“All that matters is trying to get her back. The more people that can open their eyes, the better," said Mark who suspects foul play in her disappearance.

“She always calls. This is very out of character. She has had a tough time but she has always called," he added.

Kellie called her daughter a "good person" who is "caring and kind."

The LAPD described Noelle as around 125 pounds, 5'8, and white with brown hair and blue eyes and shared that the Sacramento State junior was last spotted in a dark t-shirt, green military logo sweatpants, and white sneakers.
