NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former President Donald Trump's youngest child Barron Trump has finally begun college life — and New York University will probably never be the same!

The towering 18-year-old was spotted on campus Wednesday, September 4, kicking off his freshman year in true Trumpian fashion—flanked by Secret Service agents and turning heads wherever he went.

Naturally, NYU students were excited about the prospect of having a Trump as a part of their school, and RedWave Press captured some of their reactions.

One female pupil jokingly said, "My mom will probably want me to marry him," while another quipped, "If he's at all interested in girls, he might turn out to be somewhat liberal."

Someone else remarked, "Look at who his dad is. He definitely knows how to make money."

When asked if they would be friends with him, one student said, "Of course, who wouldn’t want to be friends with a Trump?" On the other hand, another jested, "I’m going to be like, 'Let’s make a diss track against Kamala.'"

Dressed casually but with that unmistakable billionaire flair, Barron was seen with a black Swiss Gear backpack casually slung over one shoulder as he strolled onto NYU's downtown Manhattan campus.

Rocking a crisp white polo, black pants, and classic Adidas Gazelle sneakers, Barron looked every bit the cool college kid. His first stop? The dean’s office, naturally—because when you’re a Trump, you don’t just blend in.

Of course, with Barron’s arrival came the questions about how NYU would handle security. After all, it’s not every day that the son of a former president enrolls. With tuition starting at a whopping $62,700 a year, the prestigious university is no stranger to high-profile students — but Barron's Secret Service detail is probably unprecedented.

The New York Post reported how the teen is all set to dive into business studies at NYU's Stern School of Business—a top-tier choice for someone with a last name like Trump. According to his father, Barron is more than ready for the challenge.

"It’s a very high-quality place. He liked it. He liked the school," told former President Trump to the Daily Mail. The proud father added, "He’s a very high aptitude child, but he's no longer a child. He’s just passed into something beyond child-dom [sic]. He’s doing great."

For a while, Barron’s choice of college was kept under wraps. Last month, Trump spilled the beans that his youngest son would be attending a university in New York this fall but kept the specifics on the down low. As expected, Barron had his pick of schools, but NYU won out in the end.

"He's always been a very good student, he’s smart," shared the GOP presidential nominee.

Barron Trump's following in his family's footsteps—sort of

Barron Trump's choice to attend NYU’s Stern School of Business aligns with the Trump family's tradition of attending prestigious schools, albeit he's carving out his own path.

His older siblings—Ivanka Trump, Tiffany Trump, and Donald Trump Jr—all graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, which their father also attended. Eric Trump attended Georgetown University.

Former President Trump studied at Wharton Business School, so naturally, Barron considered it. But in the end, he decided to forge his own path. "I went to Wharton, and that was certainly one that we were considering. We didn't do that... we went to Stern," said Trump.

While most freshmen are figuring out dorm life, Barron's setup is a little more luxurious. The word on the street is that he'll be commuting daily from Trump Tower, his father's glitzy residence on Fifth Avenue.

It's just a few miles from NYU, so Barron gets the best of both worlds—college life and a plush pad to come home to. Originally, there was some speculation about whether Barron would live on campus or at home, but it looks like the daily commute is the way to go.

With Barron's arrival, NYU is beefing up security around campus—and understandably so. Stern's downtown Manhattan location, right near Washington Square Park, is no stranger to protests and political activity.

Last spring, the business school’s plaza saw some action when pro-Palestinian protesters occupied the space, leading to police intervention.

Now, with Barron on campus, the university is taking extra precautions to ensure everything runs smoothly as the fall semester kicks off.

Not only is Barron excited about this new chapter, but so are his parents. Melania Trump has always been protective of him, considering he is her only child with former President Trump.

In an interview with Fox News in April, she shared how proud she is of their close bond.
