WASHINGTON, DC: Attorney General Pam Bondi had a playful response after 'Saturday Night Live' lampooned her fiery Senate appearance this week.

Sharing an image from the show, which featured Amy Poehler as Bondi and Tina Fey as Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Bondi wrote on social media, “(Kristi Noem) should we recreate this picture in Chicago?” She added, “Loving Amy Poehler!”

The sketch, titled “Pam Bondi vs the Senate: Round Two,” imagined Bondi’s tense hearing with Democrats, where Poehler’s Bondi clashed with lawmakers over President Donald Trump’s decision to deploy National Guard troops in US cities.

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey spoof ICE crackdown in SNL skit

In the parody, when asked how Trump could justify using the military domestically, Poehler’s Bondi shot back with a sharp one-liner: “Before I don’t answer, I’d like to insult you personally.”

The sketch escalated when Tina Fey made a surprise appearance as Kristi Noem, wielding an assault-style rifle and promoting recruitment for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Fey’s Noem delivered lines like, “Do you need a job now?” and “Do you take supplements that you bought at a gas station?” before adding, “Then buckle up and slap on some Oakleys, big boy: Welcome to ICE.”

Amy Poehler returns to host SNL’s 50th anniversary show

Saturday’s episode marked SNL’s 50th anniversary, with Poehler, a seven-year veteran of the cast who left in 2008, returning as host for the third time.

“It’s always a dream come true to be here,” she said in her monologue. “I remember watching the show in the ’70s, sitting in my house in Burlington, Massachusetts, thinking: ‘I want to be an actress someday, at least until they invent an AI actress who’s funnier and willing to do full-frontal.’”

She ended her speech with a joke directed at artificial intelligence: “To that little AI robot watching TV right now who wants to be on this stage someday, I say: Beep boop beep...which translates to: You’ll never be able to write a joke, you stupid robot!”

The episode also featured a mini 'Parks and Recreation' reunion as Aubrey Plaza joined Poehler in a parody of Netflix’s 'The Hunting Wives.'

Later, a Weekend Update segment reunited Seth Meyers, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler alongside current hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che for a lively quiz show-style exchange.

Musical guest Role Model performed “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.” The night ended on a somber note as SNL paid tribute to Oscar-winning actress Diane Keaton, who died Saturday at age 79. A black-and-white portrait of Keaton appeared on screen as the show closed.
