PLYMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS: Patrick Clancy's relationship with his new wife, Dr Rachel Danis, has become a focus of online speculation following the deaths of his three children and the mistrial in Lindsay Clancy’s case.

Now, Rachel is addressing the scrutiny herself.

Rachel is set to appear alongside Patrick for the first time on '60 Minutes', with a preview of their interview released on Friday, September 18.

Rachel directly addresses the online theories surrounding their relationship during the interview.

“I don't understand how this story's been so twisted, but I would hope people know that Patrick is, as I said before, the most selfless father and supportive partner,” Rachel said.

She then recalled the circumstances of their first meeting, describing it as an ordinary encounter that took place long before their relationship became part of public discussion.

“I was just a girl that met a guy running in Central Park on a really cold Saturday,” she said. “And I don't think there's anything wrong with that.”

Patrick and Rachel reportedly started dating in February 2024, roughly a year after the deaths of Patrick’s three children.

Following the tragedy, Patrick relocated from Massachusetts to New York, where his relationship with Rachel later progressed.

Rachel reportedly moved into Patrick’s Upper East Side apartment in 2025.

The couple married in April 2026 in a private ceremony attended by family and close friends.

Patrick Clancy faces conspiracy theories

Patrick’s remarriage emerged publicly during court proceedings in July, shortly before he took the witness stand.

Lindsay’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, referenced the marriage while describing Patrick’s efforts to rebuild his life following the deaths of his children.

“Patrick Clancy has suffered one of the worst tragedies that anyone could ever suffer,” Reddington said.

“How that guy is not an emotional basket case is beyond me, and he is trying hard to move on with his life. As the court is aware, they're divorced, he's remarried, he has a family.”

After the mistrial, Patrick’s attorney, Howard Cooper, warned that legal action could follow against people circulating conspiracy theories accusing Patrick of involvement in his children’s deaths.

Cooper described those claims as “blatant and baseless falsehoods” and said Patrick and his family had endured a “relentless, escalating and destructive defamation campaign.”

Patrick was ruled out as a suspect early in the investigation.

Evidence presented during the trial, including surveillance footage, phone records, and a pharmacy receipt, was used to place him away from the home around the period investigators believe the children were killed.

The full interview of Patrick and Rachel is scheduled to air on Sunday, September 20, on CBS’s '60 Minutes'.
