Pete Davidson reveals he suffered two concussions in three weeks while filming indie movie
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pete Davidson recently revealed that he suffered an injury while performing his own stunts for an upcoming indie movie.
The comedian, 32, appeared on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ on September 28 and shared the details of his injury while explaining why he wore sunglasses during the interview.

“I got two concussions within three weeks. Not good at all. Well, I’m an idiot and I tried to do my own stunts,” Davidson told Kimmel.
But when the host asked him why he did not take a stunt double’s help, the former ‘Saturday Night Live’ alum replied, “It was an indie movie. And indie movie stunt doubles and big movie stunt doubles do not look the same. My stunt double, he was amazing, but he was like 6’6, huge and it was very obvious.”

The father-of-one then shared that he eventually had to go to a doctor to determine how severe the concussion was.
Davidson said, “It’s a doctor and he just goes, ‘Mop, mirror, blanket, picnic.’ He says like eight words and I go, ‘What the hell is he doing?’ And then he goes, ‘Say it back.’ And I was like, ‘Um…’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, you have some brain damage.’ It’s a very simple test.”
The ‘King of Staten Island’ actor further revealed that he has been asked to avoid bright lights until mid-November. But when Kimmel expressed remorse over his issue, Davidson jokingly added, “I’m more sorry I didn’t really notice a difference.”

The latest revelation came days after Davidson opened up about fatherhood and the changes it has brought in him. The writer shares a 9-month-old daughter Scottie Rose with ex Elsie Hewitt.
“My priorities have shifted in just that becoming a dad is great for so many reasons, but it just made me realize the stuff that I cared about so much doesn't actually matter,” he told E! News during a joint interview with Colin Jost.
“Now the priority is if I don't get that whatever job or whatever, who cares? I get to be home with Scottie. That's awesome,” he mentioned, before adding, “It's calmed [me] down. My eagerness to like—I don't know—be out there very much. I'm just happy where I am.”

During the same interview, Davidson also praised comedian and writer Colin Jost, who’s also a father.
He stated, “Colin's a great dad, and he sometimes sends me videos. What's really great is just being able to share, like, ‘Oh, look what they're doing today.’ It's just so fun, because when we met, we didn't have kids.”
