LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pete Davidson is stepping into what he calls his dream role of becoming a dad.
The actor and comedian is expecting his first child with his partner, Elsie Hewitt, marking a new chapter in his personal life.
Pete Davidson says everyone is excited for his 'dream' of being a dad
The 30-year-old shared his excitement during the New York premiere of 'The Home' on July 22, where he opened up about what fatherhood means to him and the advice he has received from close friends.
Davidson expressed how much this milestone means to him, telling E! News that his friends and family have been overwhelmingly supportive.

"Everybody's just been super excited for me, because they know it's been my dream," Davidson said at the premiere.
He added, "I'm very lucky and very, very happy," explaining that he is looking forward "to take care of something and show it the childhood I didn't have."
Adam Sandler and Colin Jost offer parenting advice to Pete Davidson
As he prepares for fatherhood, Pete Davidson has been receiving guidance from friends in the industry. He explained how much it means to have their encouragement while he steps into this new role.

“They all just have been like, ‘You’re going to be great at this. It’s the best thing you’ll ever do in your life.’ [Adam] Sandler gave me some great advice," Davidson shared, adding that Colin Jost also offered parenting tips.
“It’s been really nice that everyone’s super excited,” he continued. “When you do something, when we do anything, you want everyone to be excited, especially having a child.”
Elsie Hewitt's playful pregnancy reveal
Earlier this month, Elsie Hewitt announced the news with a sweet carousel of photos, including a video of the couple viewing their baby's sonogram.
The post also featured a cozy shot of Davidson and Hewitt as she cradled her growing bump, along with a SpongeBob SquarePants meme that read, "One of y'all hiding your pregnancy, I can feel it."

"Welp, now everyone knows we had sex," Hewitt joked in the caption of her pregnancy reveal. The news came just four months after Davidson and Hewitt first sparked rumors of a romance.
Davidson, who was previously engaged to Ariana Grande and has dated Kim Kardashian, Cazzie David, Kate Beckinsale, Margaret Qualley, Chase Sui Wonders, Madelyn Cline, and Kaia Gerber, has often talked about his desire to start a family.
“[I’m] definitely a family guy. My favorite thing ever — which I’ve yet to achieve — is I want to have a kid,” Davidson told Kevin Hart on 'Hart to Heart' in 2022.
“I’m so excited for that chapter,” he added, saying that he hoped to “develop and get better, so when that happens it’ll be easier.”
