LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ariana Grande is grieving the death of her grandmother, Marjorie Grande, who died at the age of 99.
Known affectionately as “Nonna,” she was a central figure in Grande’s life and remained close to the singer even in her final days.

Marjorie Grande’s family shared the sad news on Tuesday, June 17, expressing their sorrow and gratitude in a statement posted on Instagram.
Joan Grande, Ariana’s mother, confirmed the death in an Instagram Stories post.
“We are devastated to share that the beloved matriarch of our family has passed away. Marjorie (Nonna) Grande passed peacefully in her home and was surrounded by her family and loved ones for every moment of her last few weeks,” Joan wrote.

“We thank you for your love, support and for respecting our privacy as we grieve and celebrate her beautiful, extraordinary life.”
Ariana's brother, Frankie Grande, also shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, writing, “I love you endlessly, my sweet Nonna. I miss you more than words can hold. My heart is shattered, but I feel you watching over me, already so proud of everything I’ve done and all that is about to come.”

Ariana Grande, 31, frequently spoke about her deep connection with Marjorie, who had been by her side at several award shows and even appeared on her 2024 album 'Eternal Sunshine'.
At age 98, Marjorie became the oldest artist ever to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, following the success of her contribution to the song 'Ordinary Things', which hit No 55 in April 2024.
