WASHINGTON, DC: Former Donald Trump administration advisor Peter Navarro has urged conservative media hosts to avoid referring to Democratic presidential frontrunner and Vice President Kamala Harris by her first name.

During an episode of Steve Bannon’s 'War Room' on Tuesday, September 3, Navarro claimed that using Kamala "personalizes her and creates a favorable impression."

Why did Peter Navarro ask media not to address Kamala Harris with her first name?

"Everybody associated with the Trump campaign, everybody out there who’s a commentator in conservative TV, radio, whoever you are. Sean [Hannity], Laura [Ingraham], Jesse [Watters], my brother Rob Schmitt, or Greg Kelly at Newsmax," Peter Navarro began.

"Here’s the thing, I am urging you from this day forward, never, ever, ever to refer to Kamala Harris by her first name. Only her first name. Kamala, Kamala, Kamala. She is not a soccer star, okay? Pelé, I get it. Messi, I get it. Okay? But when you use 'Kamala' these days, it does not do us any good. Works in the other direction. It personalizes her and it creates a favorable impression."

Peter Navarro further insisted, “So stop doing that! Okay? No more Kamala. The only exception to that rule is if you use it with a Trump-like nickname. So, ode or homage to that famous pop music ‘Karma Chameleon,’ that’s not bad. ‘Kama-Liar,’ that’s not bad. But we’re having a wake-up right now, okay? We’re burying Kamala as a single-use name.”

“Think about it, when was the last time you heard somebody refer to Donald John Trump favorably or affectionately at all simply as ‘Donald’?” he continued, before adding, “So cut the ‘Kamala’ crap, okay? Cut the Kamala crap. Please pass that on.”

Navarro concluded with a critique of Harris's public image, “It’s not doing the Trump campaign a single bit of good to ever refer to this woman by her first name. She is not Pelé. She cannot bend them like Pelé or Beckham. She is not Messi. She is a mess, she is a hot mess, she is a hot, hot mess.”

Peter Navarro’s recent demand for conservative media to stop using Vice President Kamala Harris’s first name has sparked a flurry of reactions on social media. Some users brutally mocked the former Donald Trump advisor for his rant.

"And if you use her last name it is usually used for males that would imply strength," tweeted one social media user.

"It's a tactic used in war: depersonalization the enemy so you don't feel bad about fighting them. It's also used in prison where Navarro probably learned it. If that's what he's focused on, we've got nothing to worry about from this guy," another added.

"This is having a Trumpty Dumbty rant now, so please have pity on him," one person claimed.

"Better to keep her a scary brown person huh?" another asked.

"What a shame that he only got 4 months in prison," read one tweet.

"It does make you wonder why they say Kamala all the time but have never in their life said Donald. There is a reason for that. They should do one or the other to be professional. Ask yourself why they do that," penned another user.

"@PeterNavarro Please refrain from using such language when referring to Vice President Kamala Harris. We should all be striving for a more respectful discourse in our society, regardless of political affiliation. #Unity," one individual wrote.

"Peter Navarro is #WeirdAF - Some of the things he said during tRump term and after makes you ask what is he thinking!" another added.
