Podcaster reveals Trump's attraction for Gen Z and how son Barron helped him win over the youth in 2024

WASHINGTON, DC: Podcaster Brett Cooper shared her belief on what attracted Gen Z toward President Donald Trump and the contribution of his son Barron during her appearance on the Monday, April 7 episode of the Daily Mail podcast, 'Welcome to MAGAland.'
The 23-year-old began her career as a child actor in Hollywood before expressing right-wing political views and being hired by Daily Wire to host the show 'The Comments Section' in 2022.
She left the company in December 2024 and launched 'The Brett Cooper Show' on YouTube the following month.
How did Donald Trump attract Gen Z voters?
According to Cooper, Trump, 78, managed to win over GenZ voters in the 2024 general election because he came across as honest and authentic.
"You can despise Donald Trump, but you know exactly where he stands. You might disagree with him, but he's never lying to your face about the things that he believes," she stated.

Furthermore, the unorthodox style of the commander-in-chief appealed to the younger generations. As Cooper explained, "Young people want to rebel. That is just normal young person, psychology. I feel like a lot of them looked around and went, okay, we have been trying to like rage against the machine, but actually we've been supporting the machine."
She felt that Republicans still had a lot to learn from Trump, who is known to be very active on social media.

"I wish more of them (Republicans) were on TikTok, and I know that might be controversial for a lot of Republicans that want TikTok banned. But again, that is where Gen Z is," said Cooper. "We wanna see you face to face. We want you looking in our eyes through the camera, telling us exactly what's going on and not bulls***ting us."
Barron Trump helped effectively communicate MAGA message
Cooper praised Barron Trump for helping his father reach out to the younger generation during his last campaign.
"I think that Barron really had the right idea, and I think that he understood what our generation is interested in. And I think that he was able to sum it up for his father and drive the campaign in that regard," she observed on the podcast.

Trump campaign's strategy of focusing on social media and podcasts worked because "they weren't trying to preach towards people," Cooper shared.
"They were not speaking down to people. It wasn't like they were trying to be cool, like the things that they were doing, the edits that they were making to people that Trump was talking to are genuinely people that my generation is interested in."
She added that her generation is "very ideologically passionate, regardless of what side of the aisle we're on, both on the right and the left, and you have to capture us if you wanna win these elections."
