WASHINGTON, DC: Vice President Kamala Harris came under fire on Tuesday, July 30, from CNN political analyst Scott Jennings for her attempts to "erase all evidence" that she was a "border czar" and for changing her position on important issues.

Alyssa Farah Griffin, the former director of communications at the White House during Donald Trump's term, hinted that Democrats might be able to turn the immigration debate against Republicans during an appearance on 'CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip'.

Kamala Harris reportedly wanted Democrats to have more Customs and Border Patrol Officers

Alyssa Farah Griffin verified Kamala Harris' claim that Democrats were planning to combat the fentanyl epidemic and wanted more Customs and Border Patrol officers before Republicans vetoed the "most conservative border bill in decades."

Scott Jennings questions why Kamala Harris is so desperate to 'erase' her 'border czar' past

In response to Alyssa Farah Griffin, Scott Jennings stated that Democrats could not possibly think they would battle former president Donald Trump to "even a draw" on immigration.

"I hope they run all their ads on immigration because it will remind the American people every time they turn on their television sets what a complete and utter failure this has all been," he said, per Fox News.

"I mean, if they were so proud of their record, why is [Harris] working so hard to erase all evidence from the internet that she was the border czar?" he added.

Ohio ex-senator Nina Turner is 'somewhat' disappointed with Kamala Harris

Subsequently, Scott Jennings questioned Nina Turner, a former state senator from Ohio, about her disappointment with Kamala Harris' current attempt to "repudiate and run away" from all of the major issues she ran on in 2019.

"Somewhat," Turner replied. "She has an opportunity in the first chair. She has an opportunity. Scott, I’m looking at this as an opportunity; yes, to hear that she may walk away from supporting Medicare for all—that does not float my boat. However, she’s going to have an opportunity as the first chair to really decide."

Kamala Harris launched new bid for presidency this week

Kamala Harris has been retreating from a number of her former far-left positions in the week since she announced her second presidential bid in response to President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the contest.

Regarding fracking, which holds significant economic value in Pennsylvania, a crucial contest state in the 2024 election, the Harris campaign took a different tack on Friday. If Harris is elected president, she will not try to outlaw fracking, an official with her reelection campaign told The Hill.

Harris campaign officials stated that she now backs the Biden administration's budget requests for more money to be allocated to border enforcement, that she is no longer against a single-payer health insurance plan, and that she agrees with his call to outlaw assault weapons.

However, she is now against any mandate that private gun owners sell their weapons to the federal government.

Internet labels Kamala Harris' new move a 'Democratic thing'

Netizens scorned the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee as she tried to distance herself from the extreme-left stances and fallouts related to the country's border.

One X user tweeted, "That’s a Democrat thing, erase everything!" Another wrote, "It seems to be suspicious work done by Kamala Haris."

"And her supporters will eat anything she does up," remarked one while someone else wrote, "She can try to erase all she wants, We the People know the truth. It'll cost her bigly in the end."
