Prince Harry reveals real reason behind his move back to the UK with Meghan Markle and children
LONDON, UK: Prince Harry has finally disclosed why he decided to return to the UK after over six years with his wife Meghan Markle and two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet of Sussex.
The Duke of Sussex and Meghan left the UK for the US in early 2020 to start new financially independent lives. At the time, they were parents to the now 7-year-old Archie.
They later welcomed their second child, Lilibet, in 2021.

Now in a new interview with GQ, Harry shared that he’s shifted back to create “opportunities for the family.”
“Being able to put the kids in a British school has meant a lot to me. I didn’t know how important it was to me,” the 42-year-old added.
He further explained that he “always thought it was gonna be something that I would try and do or that we would try and do, but now they’ve been in school for two weeks,” before revealing his children are “loving” their new school and have been able to gain “a whole different experience.”
Harry, however, also clarified that he’s not “criticizing American schools. But I think for kids at 7 and 5 to be able to have that comparison and to have two completely different cultural experiences is so important today.”
Prince Harry feels good to be ‘closer’ to his family
The second-born of King Charles and late Princess Diana also told the publication that another important reason for him to be back is to be “closer” to his British royal family.
Prince Harry’s move out of the UK in 2020 reportedly strained his relationship with his father and elder brother, Prince William.

“To be back closer to my family and to be back on UK soil for longer than a few days or a week here or there, you know? So, it’s nice to be back. It’s been nice to be close to friends, family, friends, and their children as well… to be able to have endless playdates to really help our kids settle in,” Harry asserted.
The Sussexes relocated to the UK in August, and at the time, it was reported that the decision was taken because Harry wanted to be closer to his 77-year-old father, who is currently battling cancer.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle went to Nottingham last week
Harry and Markle made their first official public appearance in the UK on Thursday, October 15, when they went to Nottingham.

For the outing, Meghan chose a maroon coat, which she paired with a matching top, a purple skirt, and a pair of pumps. Harry was seen in a gray suit jacket and a white button-down shirt with jeans.
