William and Kate shared the throwback Halloween photo of Louis on their joint Instagram account. The royal couple captioned the post, “Happy Halloween!” and revealed that Kate had taken the picture when Louis was just 1 year old.

In the photograph, Louis, now eight, can be seen bending down to pick up a large pumpkin placed in front of him. The picture offered a look at the young prince enjoying Halloween as a toddler.

Louis often draws attention at royal events with his playful expressions and funny reactions. This photo gave people another glimpse of him enjoying a family moment away from official engagements.

It also showed how William and Kate occasionally share personal moments from their children's lives with the public. According to PEOPLE, this was the first time William and Kate had shared a Halloween-themed post on their official social media account.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have celebrated Halloween with their children before

Although this was their first Halloween-themed social media post, the Prince and Princess of Wales have celebrated the occasion with their three children in previous years. Along with Louis, the couple is also parents to Prince George, 13, and Princess Charlotte, 11.

In 2022, a London resident named Jay Rutland shared a photograph of Kate taking her children trick-or-treating. According to Hello Magazine, he posted the picture online and wrote, “For anyone doubting how down to earth William and Kate are… This is Kate with their kids knocking on our door in London trick-or-treating at Halloween.”

Kate was also spotted shopping for Halloween costumes with George and Charlotte at a supermarket in Norfolk in 2019. A resident recalled seeing the Princess of Wales asking other children what they planned to dress up as for the holiday.

The latest post gave the royal couple an opportunity to share another family moment while marking Halloween with their followers.
