Quavo reveals he welcomed his first child, calls fatherhood ‘blessing’ from God
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Quavo is in seventh heaven. The Migos rapper recently revealed that he became a father to a baby girl while discussing fatherhood in a short video. He called this new phase of his life a “blessing” from God.
The 35-year-old also introduced his baby girl in a short film that was released on September 28.

The rapper shared that becoming a father has changed his perspective and thought process. "It’s a whole new state. It brings joy to me." He also shared that fatherhood has given him a new reason to move forward in life. "It brings a new reason why I’m doing this. It brings like a new hunger, a new fire to me. I’m just proud to be a father now, cause we used to always talk about that. So I’m just happy about it.”
He is preparing to release his upcoming solo album, 'Qromelife', on Friday, October 1, amid the happy news of becoming a father. For those unaware, the 15-track project has a deeply personal connection to Quavo’s family.
The album references the death of his nephew and Migos collaborator Takeoff, according to Complex. Qromelife features several collaborators, including Pharrell Williams, who executive-produced the project, as well as Justin Timberlake, A$AP Rocky and Tyler, the Creator.
While becoming a father has brought Quavo new joy and purpose, he has not forgotten his late nephew Takeoff in the process.

Takeoff was just 28 when he lost his life during a shooting at a downtown Houston bowling alley on November 1, 2022. He was attending a private party with Quavo when an altercation broke out. Quavo was not injured in the tragic incident.
Months after Takeoff's death, Quavo opened up about his grief. “I miss him a lot and I love him,” Quavo said in a 2023 conversation with Jamie Crawford-Walker that he shared on his YouTube channel. “He know I love him."
"That’s what we always know. So when you see me and you see me smiling or something like that, you don’t gotta never think I forgot about him or I’ll forget about him. I think about him all the time. Sometimes I cry myself to sleep. And that’s it. I just know he’s here. If I can’t feel him, I just know he’s around," he added.
“Just being fueled by my brother, Take, and just bottling in all these emotions, all the pain, all the hard times, all the times I cried and all the times I just made music just to pull up and try to play songs and he not there,” he said. “I’m just trying to get this fuel from above and this fuel from the sky and call it ‘rocket power.’”
