Paul Rudd spotted visiting Brooklyn store at the center of Kelly Clarkson’s viral $15K bird feud
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK: Paul Rudd was spotted window-shopping at a Brooklyn store that recently went viral after Kelly Clarkson alleged that she received the 'Pretty Woman' treatment while shopping there.
The 'Ant-Man' actor, 57, was photographed looking inside Art of Play on Wednesday, October 21, days after the singer publicly criticized the business over her shopping experience.
According to PEOPLE, Rudd stopped outside the Brooklyn-based small business, which sells home goods, and looked inside from the street for a few moments before continuing on his way.
The store attracted widespread attention after Clarkson shared her account of her visit on social media.

Paul Rudd visits Brooklyn store amid Kelly Clarkson controversy
The controversy began on October 10, when Clarkson, 44, shared her experience at the store.
The singer said she had driven to Brooklyn because she thought the business looked appealing and intended to make multiple purchases.
However, Clarkson alleged that she was treated as though she could not afford the merchandise and was offered an alternative instead.
“Wow, dude. You’re an idiot and just lost a huge sale. But y’all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts character in Pretty Woman. For sure, check it out,” Clarkson wrote on X, adding a thumbs-down emoji.

Kelly Clarkson’s $15,000 bird sparks Art of Play dispute
During her visit, Clarkson inquired about a dancing bird automaton named Molly, which she said was priced at $15,000.
Adam Rubin, one of Art of Play’s three owners, spoke to New York magazine on October 13 about the controversy. He described the situation as a misunderstanding.
“This is an insane misunderstanding,” Rubin said of the Grammy winner’s X posts.
“Nothing happened in this shop to justify her scolding our shopkeeper on the way out, but I can let that go. You know, everybody has a bad day. But things changed when she used her platform to attack us.”
The store had previously responded in a statement on Instagram, saying Molly was a “one-of-a-kind singing and dancing bird automaton” that was “permanently attached to the wall and isn’t for sale.”

Rubin explained that customers had repeatedly asked about the bird, prompting the store to put a price on it. He said the price had since been raised to $15 million following the public attention.
“So many people asked about it that we had put a price on it, but we talked to the creator when he came to fix the machine, and if someone showed serious interest, we would reach out to him about getting them an automaton. As you’ve noticed, we’ve raised the price due to popular demand. It now costs $15 million,” Rubin said.
Clarkson disputed Rubin’s version of the incident by sharing a photograph of the $15,000 price tag displayed near Molly, which appeared to contradict the store’s claim that the bird was not for sale.
A day after the interview was published, Rubin told PEOPLE that Clarkson was “welcome anytime” at the store.
