Sophia Bush says 'One Tree Hill' co-star Hilarie Burton warned her about Chad Michael Murray
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sophia Bush has shared that her 'One Tree Hill' co-star Hilarie Burton warned her against dating Chad Michael Murray.
Bush and Murray worked together on 'One Tree Hill' and fell in love before tying the knot in April 2005. However, they went their separate ways in September 2005, and their divorce was finalized in December 2006.

Years later, Bush shared on the Wednesday, October 21, episode of Alex Cooper's 'Call Her Daddy' podcast that Burton and her former husband had "worked together on another show" and that it "wasn't a great experience" for her, as reported by Page Six.
The 44-year-old actress continued that Burton, who was one of Bush's closest friends on the set of 'One Tree Hill', had "explicitly" told her to "not date [Murray]."
"You know, it was good advice," Bush acknowledged, but also noted that at the time, she "just didn't have the wherewithal or the experience" to heed Burton's warning.

The 'Chicago P.D.' actress then reflected on her estranged friendship with Burton. She said, "For years, I thought that's why we stopped being two peas in a pod," because she "felt so much shame."
"She was right about who he was then," Bush added.
Elsewhere during the podcast, the 'John Tucker Must Die' star revealed that she became friends with women with whom Murray cheated on her during their relationship.
In her upcoming memoir, 'And I Will Tell You Mine: Notes from a Life in Progress', Bush has reportedly written about the friendships she formed with women she believed others would not expect her to be close to.
"I wrote about some of the friendships I made with women who I think the world would probably think I would never speak to, that I really cherish. And frankly, when I look at the landscape, I'm like bad***, bad***, bad***, bad***."
"You did have great taste, bro, and like, congrats, you crushed. I'm like, 'I get it.' I'm just like, 'Damn.' Like, in a lineup, I'd take any one of us," she added.

In 2021, Bush said she harbored no "ill will" toward the 45-year-old actor.However, she also noted that she did not like to talk about him.
"I'm not allowed to because I've tried to poke fun at being a dumb kid and whenever I've done that, it gets twisted into [that] I'm talking s–t about somebody who I don't even know anymore, who's clearly a grown-up," Bush explained at the time.
