Former teen idol Chad Michael Murray looks hotter than ever, credits his six-pack abs to 'pretty wife'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Chad Michael Murray has opened up on his enviable six-pack abs and what keeps him motivated to stay in top shape.
The 43-year-old star of Netflix’s holiday hit 'The Merry Gentlemen' revealed during a chat with the Interview magazine that his wife, Sarah Roemer, plays a key role in inspiring his fitness journey.

When asked about his motivation for maintaining six-pack abs, Murray responded, "I don’t know. I’m going to say having a pretty wife, wanting to keep her happy." He added, "Even though she’s totally not the type that would ever demand that of me, you want to look good for the Mrs. I also like to be at a certain place at all times, just in case an opportunity like this arises. It’s a lifestyle."
Murray plays Luke, one of the performers in a Christmas-themed revue orchestrated by a Broadway dancer (Britt Robertson) to save her family’s small-town theater in the film 'The Merry Gentlemen.' The role required Murray to step into uncharted territory of dancing on the stage.
“I'd never danced professionally or trained by any means,” he told People, adding “I love going out and dancing. My wife [Sarah Roemer] and I have danced at a wedding or two and we dance on occasion and we goof around at the house, but nothing to this level.”
While initially intimidated by the challenge, Murray explained his mindset saying, "When I see something and it scares the crap out of me, something in me says, ‘Alright, well let's see what we can do. I'm going to fall flat on my face or have a lot of fun doing it.’ So that was what really pulled me in."
The actor described the physical preparation as “very intense” but said, "I love a good challenge.”

“I want to be there," Murray said, emphasizing his dedication to fatherhood. "I got to be there for my daughter’s first steps. I got to take her trick or treating for the first time." He added with pride, "And she crushed it!"
