'Quite a skewed take': Internet divided as Mark Levin accuses Joe Biden of 'trying to protect Hamas'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent Twitter exchange, conservative commentator Mark Levin accused President Joe Biden of "affirmatively trying to protect Hamas" from Israeli action.
The controversy arose when Levin shared a tweet from David M Friedman, an American bankruptcy lawyer and the former United States Ambassador to Israel, on February 12, expressing his concerns about Biden's approach to the situation.
Mark Levin's accusation against Biden
Levin's tweet stated, "Biden is now affirmatively trying to protect Hamas. This is unconscionable. And you hear next to nothing from congressional Republicans and, of course, the Hamas media in our country."

David Friedman's perspective
David Friedman's original tweet, however, shed light on a different perspective. According to Friedman, there are reportedly four Hamas battalions operating in Rafah, and Israel is developing a plan to relocate civilians to a safer area without causing a civilian influx into Egypt.
Friedman argued that neither Biden nor his foreign policy team have seen the final plan, yet they seem to be opposing Israel's potential actions against these battalions.
Friedman Wrote, "There are 4 Hamas battalions operating in Rafah. Israel says it is developing a plan to move the civilians to a safe location north of the city, without triggering a civilian push into Egypt. Neither Biden nor any of his foreign policy team have even seen the final plan.
"Nonetheless, they are seeking to prohibit Israel from acting against these 4 battalions. If these battalions are not defeated, Hamas will emerge from this war in tact, re-establish its control over Gaza and seek to make good on its promise to attack Israel again.
"And the United States appears to have become Hamas’ strongest ally in this effort. I have yet to hear a single word from the administration seeking to manage Ukraine’s defense against Russia. But, for purely political reasons, Biden is attempting to place handcuffs on Israel that will lead to its defeat, God forbid. Of countless mistakes in American foreign policy, Biden is about to make his worst."
