WASHINGTON, DC: Radio host Erick Erickson ignited a firestorm on Tuesday, August 27, with his incendiary remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris.

Describing her as a “social ladder climber,” Erickson's comments took a disturbing turn when he referenced Harris’s past relationship with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown over 2 decades ago when she was a young prosecutor.

Erickson, one of the most listened local hosts in the country has been the voice of evening drive time on WSB for ten years, made the derogatory comments on 'The Erick Erickson Show'.

Erickson calls Harris, 'social ladder climber' while insulting her past

“The people who are so willing to say, oh, we have to support Kamala Harris because she’s going to stop Donald Trump. You know what? She’s an authoritarian," Erick Erickson declared.

"Did you pay attention to her record as attorney general in California?” the radio host asked, adding, "You really want me to believe that we have to save democracy by voting for Kamala Harris? If Kamala Harris could get in office and ensure she’d never leave again. She’d do it. Kamala Harris has done nothing but climb the ladder of power since the moment she got up off her knees in front of Willie Brown. To put it bluntly to you. Kamala Harris has just been a social ladder climber her entire time in office."

Troubling rhetoric echoed by Trump

The backlash was immediate and intense. Critics across the political spectrum condemned Erickson's remarks as sexist and deeply offensive. His comments echoed a disturbing pattern of disparaging rhetoric that former President Donald Trump also tapped into, sharing a parody video that used similar derogatory imagery.

Harris “spent her whole damn life down on her knees; To be commander in chief, that’s how you say please,” highlighted the clip.

Political commentator Amanda Carpenter decried the “disgusting” rhetoric, emphasizing, “The amount of rhetoric I see (on bumper stickers/yard signs/social) and hear about “knees” is beyond disgusting. People should be fed up w this garbage and have no qualms calling it out.”

Podcaster Mara Davis echoed these sentiments, challenging those who tolerate or perpetuate sexist attacks.

“Hate the policies all day but saying a woman candidate slept her way to success shows who YOU really are. Especially the guys with daughters. It’s clear you’ll be cool with people talking about them in this way. Have fun with that," she penned on X.

Critics slam Erick Erickson rhetoric on Harris' career

The backlash against Erick Erickson's recent comments about Kamala Harris has sparked a furious debate online, with critics unleashing a torrent of scathing remarks.

"Erickson is whining, grifting, cultist with poor impulse control. He makes Trump look like Churchill," a user tweeted.

“'Supporters have decided to behave terribly to bully people into supporting their terrible candidate.' Then goes on to bully Independents and Republicans for their decision to support VP Harris. Pot meet kettle," a second said.

"As I've said, the bullying from the Trump side starts at the top. It didn't need to be this way," a third tweeted.

"The ultimate misogyny…25+ sexual abuse allegations on Trump, and a finding as liable for rape…sex is the last thing Trumpers should want to bring up. But I see it on Facebook every day. There is no shame, accountability, or any bottom for them," commented a user.

"I just hope all these men know that their daughters are watching them and they're paying attention. What a message to send," read a tweet.

"All Republicans own this just not MAGA," penned a user.
