NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Reese Witherspoon is once again encouraging her followers to start learning and using artificial intelligence, saying there’s no better time than now to bring it into everyday life and the workplace. The 'Sweet Home Alabama' actress said that she "has decided it's time."

According to her, artificial intelligence has already begun to shape the future. She believes it’s the right moment for people to upgrade themselves as much as possible. She is ready to do it herself and is also motivating other women to learn it quickly, as it can be a valuable tool in their work.

This isn’t the first time she has shared her thoughts. Back in September 2025, she said, "It's so important that women are involved in it because it will be the future of filmmaking".

Reese Witherspoon urges women to learn AI before they fall behind

'The Morning Show' star shared a video on Instagram on Wednesday, April 16, about learning AI tools and what she wants to do with them. "Well... I’ve decided it’s TIME,” she wrote. “The AI revolution has begun, and I need to learn as much as I possibly can about AI and share it with all of you."

"Also, FYI: the jobs women hold are 3x more likely to be automated by AI, yet women are using AI at a rate 25% lower than men on average. We don’t want to be left behind. So…do you want to learn with me?" she wrote on the video she shared on Instagram.

In the clip, she explained how few people around her are actually using AI. "People, I think. To learn about AI, I was with 10 women in a book club yesterday, and I said to the 10 of them, 'How many of you guys use AI?' Only three of them used AI.' And then I said, 'How many of the 3 of you feel like you really know what you're doing, or they're using it the right way?'" She said.

"And there was only one person. So if three out of 10 women are the only ones using AI, that means 70% of that group is not keeping up. The thing I've learned about technology is, if you don't get a little bit of understanding from the very beginning, it just speeds past you."

She added that keeping up with technology requires small, consistent learning. "So you have to have little bits of learning just to keep up. And let's get real. Our kids are all using this every single day."

"I think we should learn the basics together and learn some really good tools that are going to make our everyday lives easier and better. Do you want me to share what I'm learning with you? It's done this time," she concluded.

Reese Witherspoon says avoiding AI is unavoidable

Reese Witherspoon reflected on the rise of artificial intelligence in an interview with Glamour, emphasizing that change is unavoidable, saying, “And you can be sad and lament it all you want, but the change is here... It might diminish, but it’s always going to be the highest importance in art and in expression of self.”

She also spoke about wanting to be part of that shift, adding, “Looking forward to how media is evolving and how I can help be part of bringing women along in those emerging industries. And now we’re doing it with AI.”

Alongside that, she shared that she already uses AI in her everyday life, saying, "I use AI every day. Like, if you’re buying a blender, it’ll show you six different blenders and also recommend the best product. I use an AI Assistant."

She shared that “Simple AI is an AI assistant that can be really helpful,” particularly for those who don’t want to deal with long waits or complex booking systems, adding it’s “an incredible tool to save time.”
