Rep Randy Fine says Trump takes sacrifices of US troops seriously after Dover ceremony
DORAL, FLORIDA: Republican Rep Randy Fine spoke about President Donald Trump’s leadership during the ongoing conflict with Iran while appearing on Newsmax at the America Summit in Florida.
During the interview on Saturday, Fine said Trump’s appearance at a dignified transfer ceremony for fallen US service members showed the president understands the real human cost of war. The ceremony honored six American soldiers killed during the conflict with Iran.
“I think the president takes this seriously,” Fine said. “It shows that he understands that real sacrifice is taking place to make America safe.”
Randy Fine highlights Donald Trump’s tribute to six fallen US soldiers
Fine pointed out that one of the six fallen soldiers honored was from Florida, making the moment even more personal. He said Trump’s decision to attend the Dover Air Force Base ceremony reflected a strong sense of responsibility toward the troops and their families.
“The respect that he's showing to those six fallen soldiers, one of whom is from Florida, by the way, it says a lot,” Fine said. “I think the president cares deeply about what he's doing, and he's showing that he takes those sacrifices seriously.”
Fine also contrasted Trump’s approach with what he described as a lack of similar attention from previous administrations.
“This is a president that is not going to allow our troops to die in vain,” he said.
Randy Fine backs Trump’s warning to Iran
During the same interview, Fine addressed Trump’s warning that Iran could face further military action if it refuses to surrender.
Strongly supporting the president, he said the US must remain firm against what he described as a dangerous regime.
“The president is saying this will continue until they surrender,” Fine said. “We are not going to have a Muslim terror regime running Iran, sponsoring terror around the world, trying to create a nuclear weapon and trying to create the capability to deliver that nuclear weapon to the United States.”
Fine also accused Iran of committing repeated war crimes, claiming the country had deployed cluster munitions and targeted civilian areas with drones.
“These are not people that can be allowed to have terrorism in their hands in the Middle East,” he said.
Randy Fine responds to reports of Russia and Iran cooperation
Fine commented on reports suggesting Russia may be sharing intelligence with Iran. While troubling, he added it would not be surprising given the alliance between the two countries.
“They are allies, and it is part of why defeating these Muslim terrorists who run Tehran is so important,” he said.
He cited Iran’s long history of attacks.
“Keep in mind that Iran has killed an estimated 1,200 Americans since this Muslim terror regime came to power in 1979,” Fine said.
Fine concluded by defending Trump’s broader foreign policy approach.
“Donald Trump is showing that when people scream ‘Death to America,’ we're going to deliver death to them,” he said.
“I think President Trump is fighting for America first. If you isolate America from the world, that America will be damaged by doing that.”
