WASHINGTON, DC: Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F Kennedy Jr, opened up about the changes made to hormone therapy under the Trump administration during a Cabinet Meeting on Tuesday, December 2.

RFK Jr claimed that the HHS ended a “20-year war on women” by removing black box warnings from hormone replacement therapy.

RFK Jr shares benefits of hormone replacement therapy

During Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, RFK Jr, claimed that the “medical cartel” had been telling women that hormone replacement therapy was “dangerous” for women during menopause. However, science revealed otherwise.

RFK Jr claimed that the use of hormonal replacement therapy decreases the risk of fatal heart attack by “25%, cardiac diseases by 50%, Alzheimer’s by 35%, and bone fractures by 50% to 60%.”

“It improves appetite, it improves sleep, it improves energy, it improves happiness,” the HHS secretary added.

RFK Jr claimed that there were “tens of millions” of women in America who had been “deprived” of it because of “scientific malpractice by the medical cartel.”

He stated that they were remedying that and that it would now be available to every woman who wanted it during “one of the most difficult transitions” of their lives.

RFK Jr credited Donald Trump for the success and said that it wouldn’t have happened without his support, and said he was the only person who believed in it. He added that they had made deals with five major pharmaceutical companies and were in talks with 12 more.

He claimed that by the time the current term of office was over, America would have the lowest prices of medicines out of all the developed nations in the world.

Marty Makary says estrogen therapy is now safer

On November 10, FDA commissioner Marty Makary announced that hormone therapies for menopause would no longer carry a black box warning about risks such as breast cancer, heart attack, and stroke.

Makary said that such warnings were based on “outdated science,” which discouraged women from taking hormone therapy even though it could help treat menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings, difficulty sleeping, UTIs, etc.

“We are going to stop the fear machine steering women away from this life-changing, even lifesaving, treatment,” Makary said.

He added that the FDA was taking action to remove these warnings from estrogen-related products, basing it on a “robust review of the latest scientific evidence.”
