RFK Jr trolled as he shares photos of himself swimming in sewage-contaminated water: 'Enjoy the E coli!'

WASHINGTON, DC: Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F Kennedy Jr was trolled online after he posted photos of himself swimming in a creek contaminated with sewage and bacteria on Sunday, May 11.
He shared some photos of his outing on X and captioned the post, "Mother’s Day hike in Dumbarton Oaks Park with Amaryllis, Bobby, Kick, and Jackson, and a swim with my grandchildren, Bobcat and Cassius in Rock Creek."

RFK Jr shares photos of himself swimming in sewage-contaminated water
The photos in the X post showed RFK Jr taking a dunk, and even fully submerging himself, in the contaminated creek in Washington, DC.
Interestingly, the National Park Service warns visitors to the creek not to swim and wade in the water due to high levels of bacteria, according to Mediaite.

"Rock Creek has high levels of bacteria and other infectious pathogens that make swimming, wading, and other contact with the water a hazard to human (and pet) health. Please protect yourself and your pooches by staying on trails and out of the creek. All District waterways are subject to a swim ban – this means wading, too!" the warning reads.
Moreover, as per Vanity Fair, a 2021 report found "high E coli values, indicating sewage pollution" in the water.

Ironically, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) – which is overseen by RFK Jr's department – warns on its website that E coli "can make people sick with diarrhea, urinary tract infections, pneumonia, sepsis, and other illnesses", and can be transmitted through "contaminated food or water".
RFK Jr once claimed a worm ate part of his brain
In May 2024, RFK Jr claimed a worm had once entered his head and eaten a part of his brain, according to a report published by the New York Times.
He first opened up about the incident during a 2012 deposition regarding his divorce from his second wife Mary Richardson Kennedy.

He reportedly experienced severe memory loss and mental fogginess in 2010 and asked for help from neurologists familiar with the medical history of his uncle, the late Senator Ted Kennedy, who died of brain cancer in 2009.
Interestingly, it was then that a doctor from New York reviewed a scan of his brain and said that the issues could be "caused by a worm that got into my brain and ate a portion of it and then died".
Moreover, The New York Times shared that RFK Jr also suffered from mercury poisoning at the same time, which can cause neurological issues like loss of peripheral vision and muscle weakness, along with issues with movement, hearing, speech, and memory loss.
