WASHINGTON, DC: The Biden-Harris campaign issued a new press release criticizing Donald Trump for hosting a fundraiser in North Carolina with Veterans Guardian CEO Scott Greenblatt, whom the campaign refers to as a 'con artist', according to Meidas Touch.

The press release refers to an article published in the American Legion that calls Greenblatt's organization a 'pack of vultures' that is 'getting rich off of our veterans' and charges that he is 'preying on disabled veterans'.

The press release stated, "Donald Trump is now fundraising with a con artist accused of defrauding veterans in the nation's most military-friendly state. North Carolinians won't stand for Trump's consistent disrespect for our veterans and will reject him in November."

The revelation draws even more comparisons between President Biden's record of assisting soldiers and Trump's attendance at the event. Biden passed the PACT Act, which helped increase benefits to veterans who were exposed to dangerous chemicals while serving our country.

Notably, WBTV has conducted many investigations on Veterans Guardian, concentrating on the company's assistance in veterans' efforts to challenge their VA disability rating in exchange for a fee that is based on the more income they obtain.

Moreover, a veteran who claimed she was wrongfully charged fees by Veterans Guardian filed a federal class action complaint against the firm, and the VA more recently sent the company a cease-and-desist letter.

When asked about whether Trump supported Greenblatt's firm, Karoline Leavitt, a spokesperson for the Trump campaign, provided a statement that omitted any mention of it.

She said, "President Trump’s support and fight for our brave veterans and every single American is unmatched. A hit piece from a deranged liberal reporter, who does the bidding of Joe Biden’s campaign, won’t change that."

A spokesman for Veterans Guardian mentioned in a statement, "Veterans Guardian has no issue with its employees participating in the democratic process in their own personal capacities, as Scott has done periodically over the years. Scott’s political involvement has nothing to do with the company’s mission to empower disabled veterans to secure the benefits they have earned for their service to our country."
