LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A woman accused of firing shots at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills mansion had posted a series of strange and disturbing videos online leading up to the incident, offering what appears to be a bizarre motive for the alleged attack.

Ivanna Ortiz, 35, was arrested on Sunday night, March 8, after several rounds were fired at the pop star’s sprawling property while she was inside. She was charged with attempted murder.

The clips, shared on her YouTube channel and other social media platforms, showed Ortiz making unusual claims about Rihanna, accusing her of jealousy, theft, and even witchcraft.

Ivanna Ortiz accused Rihanna of jealousy and theft in bizarre videos

In one clip, Ortiz claimed that Rihanna was jealous of her and was somehow “stealing” from her. “Got Rihanna over there all jealous… because how am I… how am I… because her face is the devil. Rihanna’s face is the devil,” she said in the video.

She continued with more accusations, claiming that the singer used music for unusual purposes.

“I don’t like her and she’s always trying to steal from me. And she has not ever put out any music to reach people. She only put out her little music so she could do witchcraft,” Ortiz said.

She also urged viewers not to support the singer. “So everybody please stop… don’t listen to her, don’t follow her… because she’s stealing from you,” the 35-year-old said in the clip.

Ortiz further claimed that Rihanna was somehow taking her thoughts.

“So you guys need to wake up and don’t give that girl any attention… she can’t come over here and steal my thoughts,” she asserted.

Ivanna Ortiz repeatedly mentioned Rihanna in erratic social media posts

The videos were not the only place where Ortiz spoke about Rihanna. In the weeks leading up to the shooting, she also posted several messages on social media referencing the singer.

In one video, she made additional claims involving religion and spirituality.

“Even though the devil and Rihanna are really loud, God and Jesus Christ are doing something… and myself,” Ortiz said.

“Because the devil, he doesn’t want it to be me, he doesn’t want me to be a Christian woman of God,” she continued.

In another clip, she directly addressed the singer again.

“Listen Rihanna, when you die God will take me to my future. You want to kill me. Shut the f*** up,” Ortiz said.

She then added another accusation: “Yeah she’s a witch. I’m a watchman. Get that stupid girl out of here.”

Rihanna is 'freaking out' after shooting

Sources close to Rihanna said the singer was shocked by the incident and initially struggled to understand what had happened when the shots were fired.

An insider told PEOPLE that the singer heard the gunfire but was confused in the moment.

“Rihanna heard the shots, but was initially confused about what happened,” the source said.

The insider added that the situation was frightening despite the security around the property.

“Even with a great security team in place, it’s scary to realize that something like this can still happen,” the source explained.

Another source described the moment as terrifying for the singer but said there was also relief afterward.

They said Rihanna “is freaking the f**k out” following the shooting, but is thankful that no one was hurt.

The insider added that the 'Diamonds' singer is now taking extra safety precautions after the incident and has even rescheduled at least one photo shoot.

Ivanna Ortiz tagged Rihanna directly in posts before the incident

Some of Ortiz’s posts also directly tagged Rihanna’s social media account in the weeks before the shooting.

In a Facebook post shared on February 23, she uploaded a photo of herself and appeared to address the singer directly.

“@badgalriri — Are you there?” Ortiz wrote in the caption. “’Cause I was waiting for your AIDS 5-head self to say something to me directly instead of sneaking around like you’re talking to me where I’m not at.”

There is no evidence supporting the claim made in that post.

Other messages posted earlier also mentioned Rihanna in hostile terms. In one post dated December 20, Ortiz wrote that she was “already through with Rihanna.”

Although Ortiz referenced several celebrities in her social media activity, many of her posts appeared to circle back to the pop star.

Investigators are now reviewing those posts as part of the case surrounding the shooting at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills property.
