Joe Biden campaign's 'Snapped' advertisement

The Biden reelection campaign's latest advertisement titled 'Snapped' is a key part of their $14 million paid media strategy for May, according to The Hill.

The 'Snapped' will be aired on general market television and digital platforms across states and also on national cable television.

In the advertisement, De Niro says, “From midnight tweets to drinking bleach, to tear-gassing citizens and staging a photo-op, we knew Trump was out of control when he was president, and then he lost the 2020 election and snapped."

"Desperately trying to hold on to power. Now he’s running again, this time threatening to be a dictator, to terminate the Constitution,” he added.

Robert De Niro says Donald Trump 'wants revenge'

The advertisement features a clip from Trump declaring that it will be a "blood bath" if he does not get elected in the upcoming November election.

The former president initially made the blood bath remark during a speech about auto imports as he suggested that Biden's reelection would negatively impact the sector.

Later, he used the term to describe the border situation.

“Trump wants revenge, and he’ll stop at nothing to get it,” De Niro said in the advertisement.

The campaign says the ad outlines the difference between Biden and Trump ahead of November’s election.

Julie Chavez Rodriguez, the Biden campaign manager, said, “This ad lays out the clear contrast voters will see a month from now when Trump stands on the debate stage next to Joe Biden: Trump is running to regain power for himself, Joe Biden is running to serve you, the American people."

The president's campaign focuses on battleground states as Trump leads Biden by four points in several key states, according to a new Bloomberg/Morning Consult poll.

As per an aggregation of polls from Decision Desk HQ/The Hill, nationally, the president trails Trump by 1.1 percentage points.

Internet divided over Joe Biden campaign's 'Snapped' ad

Reacting to De Niro narrated Biden campaign ad 'Snapped' aimed at Trump, one user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, "You guys have nothing to offer except nonsense."

One user opined, "A powerful and provocative ad! Robert De Niro's narration adds gravity to the message, painting a stark picture of a vengeful Trump. The ad's intensity and language will likely resonate with some, while others may see it as an exaggerated attack. Regardless, it's clear that the creators aim to sound the alarm and mobilize opposition to Trump's actions and ideology."

"Your desperation is glorious," a netizen commented while another user tweeted, "This is great narration. Very fine mid-west accent. What a guy. I approve this message."
